In Rod We Trust

This was an example of past new members introducing themselves in ONE thread... Now you can introduce yourself on a separate thread and get feedback from other members in response to you joining the forums... So feel free to browse the pages of this thread, but in order to introduce yourself to the "cafe" submit a new thread under the "Welcome New Members" forum...!

Hey everybody. I am so glad to be talking to some intelligent black people because living in BK you dont see that a lot. Anywayz I am a high school junior going to PPAS which stands for Professional Performing Arts School. Drama is my life and acting is my dream. IN the mean time, I really want to go to college and since watching A different World, I knew that that was the atmosphere I wanted to be in. I have been in so many schools and African American history and pride was never looked at as something important. So, the place I wanna go to is a HBCU. SO that's whats good. THis girl is going places! I just wanna congratulate everybody for doing their thing in this world. :o

Hey black people! My name is Amelia and I'm a high school senior getting ready for college...unfortunately I don't know which HBCU to chose. I'm from Jackson MS, but I just moved to Knoxville, TN. My dad went to JSU and my sister is at Tougaloo right now, but i'm thinking about going somewhere away from home. I'm enjoying all the info i'm getting on this site. Thanks everybody for the student perspectives.
