Real Talk...listen up ladies! (A black's reason for cheating) Posted on 12-06-2007
Nyla

Hello All, I know this may sound a little redundant but, I was having a conversation with a male friend of mine and I wanted to know from a man's perspective "why do men cheat." Whoa, did he give me an earful ladies..lol. Anyway read the conversation below and feel free to share your feelings, opinions, etc. on this subject. Nyla: I need some real talk right now. I'm so tired of men (black especially) saying how they want a good woman who's smart, funny, attractive, self driven, have a career, freaky, and the whole nine and then when they get them you all don't know how to handle them. Some even become intimidated. What is really up with all that. Why do men cheat? why would a man have sugar at home but, go out in the streets and start messing with ish? Explain this for me please. Male: The only simple way I can put it is that it is nature. A man will be a man first, my example I always use is even the Fine Halle Berry, couldnt keep here men from going astray, and she is mostly every mans dream......And for most men it is all about the hunt, and after the actual ****, it is boring, and they are out to hunt once more. It is not rocket science, just know that it is nothing that the women does, it is just what we do, no matter how great the woman is, there is always another woman on the radar.

Who's fighting? lol I'll just quote one of the greatest women that ever lived...(I can't think of her name) When speaking of cheating...... "Women have more to fight with than just our bodies."

There are many things that is considered cheating. I guess it depends on the individual perspective of cheating. Personally, I think that if I can't do it with or in front of my mate (or have knowledge of) then I'm doing something I shouldn't do or something he may feel as cheating. Hey fellas. Have you ever experienced your mate cheating on you? If so, how did you handle it.

Yes. I broke up with her. Its just that simple. I don't understand what the big damn deal is. You cheat on me, I break up with you. I have zero tolerance for that crap. I'm a grown **** man, and I'm busy.

lol^^^^^^^^ Cheating is wrong no matter the situation no reasons can validate cheating period . Cheating on you significant other doesnt need to have a reason but lust and the right WRONG settings to permit such activity. No matter how good your mate is to you or vice versa or how ideal the relationship may be, in the heat of the moment you wont be thinking of that. The best way (in my opinion) to prevent cheating is "shun the very appearance of evil" stay away from potential temptation at all costs so there will be no need to say "well what had happened was...." at the end of the day.

I'm not saying this to sound **** or anything, but can this new guy you are dating say the same things about your qualities. I'm not trying to put you down or anything, but I noticed you listed all of this new guy's achievements, but can he say that you are a upgrade for him? What I am trying to say is, you shouldn't be so focused on what he has going on. You need to be focused on achieving your goals. Whatever you want out of a potential mate or date you should become those things. Don't get so wrapped up into what he's doing make sure you are focused on your vision. Also, the other guy that you have put down might be very successful in the near future. He is still a young man and hasn't developed into himself. So don't tear the other guy down because he's not where you think he's supposed to be, because he is still a young man. I commend any young black brother who is in school and not on the streets or in jail. So don't tear anyone down that is trying to do right. Anyway, I'm not saying this to offend you or anything but just for you to reexamine your thoughts. That's all.
We complement eachother. I'm on the track team, (varsity), I'll be girls captain next year, I run Cross Country, I'm in Mock trial, IHSSA, Choir, I just joined the NAACP Youth Council. And I've been modeling since I was 5 (signed to Peak Modeling Agency). On January 1st Elite modeling management is flying me to New York City to meet with their agents (which is a big deal). I've also appeared as an extra in several movies (High School Musical, Coach Carter, ATL, etc.) I was also an extra on the show "The Game". My GPA isn't a 4.3 but it's a 3.5 right now, going up (to a 4.0). I took the Pre-ACT two weeks ago, got my scores on Friday ...said I got a 33. Which makes me just as smart as him, because he got a 35 on the ACT. So yes, he can say the same things about my qualities as I do his ..and he does. I'm definitly an upgrade for him also because his last girlfriend is ****, and she wears weave (probably because her hair ran away from her face). I didn't mean to put the other guy down like that. I didn't even realize I did. Actually, we're still cool ..I think he's talking to somebody now anyway. Yes, he could be very successful. And I realize that he hasn't developed into himself. I'm not offended =]

Good for you! You have a lot going for you. I like to see our sistah's achieving also. So stay focused and don't get off track! Don't let a man distract you from your goals. Anyway, best of luck with your modeling career!
