maybe this is why I can't relate.... by the end of last summer, people in the A-building knew my name and we would have a little chat before my issues were addressed. My matriculation at Howard is at my sole discretion. I am more than elated that I am paying for an education that means something to me, rather than being apart of a quota for ...hmmm lets say an institution with 8% or less people that look like me. Don't bother refuting that piece of data because I confirmed it already. Thanks. and YEAH it does suck that Howard has to be "like that" but just think that it weeds the people out that shouldn't be here.

You should've been looking for those outside scholarships anyway. Especially with organizations that loove to give money to HBCUs. I don't know if it'd pay for your entire COA, but it'd put a huge dent in it.

This is very late, but I must say from working in the Admissions Office, there are students that stuff envelopes too, so do not associate a poor acceptance letter with the entire institution. PWIs have been known to lose information, things just fall through sometimes. Your experience tells me that Howard was not in your heart. I also want to clear up this "state schools are better than the 'Best' HBCUs". Are you kidding me? The top three hbcus function on ivy league status and stand for themselves against PWIs. This tells me that you did not do your research on any of these institutions and should go to UPENN because you are not ready for an hbcu.
