Fellas Why do you send text messages? Posted on 02-18-2008

I just wanted to know why do guys send text messages, instead of picking up and calling a woman? I've noticed that in this new generation of dating, that guys are doing a lot of texting. Why not just pick up the phone and call? I'm just wondering why even bother about asking for my number if you are going to text. I feel that you should just ask for my email address if you are going to write. Anyway, fella's give me your thoughts on this and the reason why you do this.

Texting is nice, for certain things. Sometimes I text people to avoid a long conversation with them. People such as family or the girls, etc.. Will texting and emailing form a relationship? Yes, I have...a friendship...and it turned out pretty interesting... sweet, actually. As far as building an intimate relationship with a guy just by texting and not ever seeing him, is a little awkward. I need to see the merchandise, talk to him in person, see his body language, make eye contact, touch, feel, hold hands, all that and more. However, I do appreciate a guy that takes the time to write, whether its texting, email, or that occassional love note via U.S. mail. It's really cute.

So in order to have an intimate relationship with you, you have to see the merchandise first and then talk in person? Interesting priorities!
