After much deliberation and reasearch I have come to the conclusion that .....
Howard University is really the best HU in all the land.
Simple because
a) I've never heard anyone say, "Hey Shawty, we need to take a roadtrip to Hampton for they homecoming! I heard P.Diddy was gonna be there!!!!"
b) Howard has a Law School. I mean......what's REALLY FOCKING with that?
Thanks for the props on law schools, and BTW Southern and Texas Southern have law schools too.
And between homecomings, Howard's is off the chain. . .but I think that's moreso because of location. There are many more black people in chocolate city than any other school location cept ATL and Houston. Of course they're gonna flood the city.

Half the people at Howard's homecoming don't go to Howard....which means you don't see the same faces. What happens at Howard's homecoming...stays at Howard's homecoming 8) :lol:

Hmmm, very true, our name has been coming out of a lot of mouths lately (I can name 4 schools from recent weeks). This tells u that for some reason a lot of peeps seem to have Hampton on their minds, so it must be something we are doin right :lol:
But I agree I think Howard's HC is off the chain, and IT IS largely in part due to their location (a student body pop. of over 10,000 doesn't hurt). DC has probably the largest concentration of black folks than any U.S. city. But its ok, Hamptonians take full advantage of hu's Homceoming, do a lil partying, enjoy ourselves, and then come right back to partying and gettin an education for life at our safe, beautiful, hype, family atmosphere of Our exclusive Home By the Sea..... :wink:

Despite which school has the better Homecoming (which is one week out of an entire year), there must be some reason why Hampton received 10,000+ freshmen admissions applications, and why half of our students seem to hail from the DC Metro area, where the other hu is located :lol: .

:roll: I really didn't want to get in on this post, but that is not a good valid reason... I live in a college town, and a damn good college btw, and most of the people in the area didn't want to go there.. It's something about the grass is always greener until you leave... It really doesn't matter... It's like someone living in Cambridge that didn't want to go to Harvard, so they went to Yale instead.. sometimes you get tired of being where you at, so you look for a change of scenery....
So ... Um... yeah.. Howard is still mad hype for homecoming (purpose of this thread).. Y'all should come.. e'rybpdy else does...
BIG UPPS to Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.. THey got a good Homecoming also.. It's during the same weekend as ours, so a lot of celebs flood them too (it's better weather oftentimes)....
