Do you know that they raised the cost of riding the METRO...AGAIN!! When I came to Howard freshmen year it cost $1.10 oneway...now it costs $1.35!?! :evil: Dont they know I'm a struggling college student?

Man, I don't know why y'all complaining because Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) costs $2 for a ride and two transfers. And they're thinking about raising it again. Not to mention, if you just want to ride one way, it's $1.75. The Metro only costin' a dollar and thirty-five cents ain't nothin' compared to what we have to pay here. *smh*

hey.....I just spent the 4th in Chicago....I LOVE IT THERE!!! Chicago is a really cool place....but yea i was kinda mad to have to pay 1.75 to get on the train....and it doesn't give change...neither could i use my debit card.... :evil: :evil: What college student uses cash!! :roll:
Yea metro prices are starting to be off the chain....but i heard that if u get a SmartPass that you can now use it on the bus and train, which is kinda cool, although i hate the bus.
aw man, dc buses are sumthin else. And i thought LA had crazy crackheads on the bus. DC got us beat. I've only been on a few times, but i swear...everytime i always seem to get stuck sitting next to a nutty buddy. One dude who was sittin next me had a spider crawlin on his arm and he didn't even know it. I musta leaned over so far in otha direction that i was straining my back or sumthin.

Amen on that one! Shooooot, they need to install a lil debit part on the vending machines, cuz sometimes those late night study sessions will burn ya out. Can't tell ya how many times i couldn't even buy a bag of chips. That's how bad it gets yall. Being a college student isn't easy. Or maybe it's just me... :roll:
