...when you go on to a bus???
...when you enter a classroom for your first day???
i've heard many people say that it is a shame that blacks are the first to head to the back of the bus and back of the classrooms after everything the people came before us did just to achieve the right of being able to do the opposite - be at the front...
personally-speaking...when i get on a bus...it really depends on my destination, how soon i'll be getting off, etc. etc....but for the most part...i do tend to go str8 to the back...
even in classrooms....that varies too...but usually, i'll try to get one of the back seats...or seats furthest to one of the sides....it's just hard for me to be in the front or middle...
and this is why...
and i could be wrong...but this is for me...
i like to see everything that's going on....i don't like the idea of people being behind me....even when i'm walking with my friends - if it's a group of us or even just one other friend & they're behind me....i'll stop long enough for them to either get in front or beside me...
I want to be able to see everything...be the observer...not the person being observed...that's just a big preference of mine and for the type of person i am...
& also...as far as sitting in the back of the classroom is concerned....most of the time, i end up making better grades than those who sit in the absolute front row anyway....i mean, i feel that if you KNOW that you need to be sittin' up at that front in order to make your grade...then go for it...but i zone out a LOT in class...write in a notebook...draw...mess with my phone...have a "when in tha hell iz this class gonna be over?" expression on my face....tha whole nine...so i just feel it is always best for me to not be up at the front with all of that goin' on...especially if i can do all of that & none of it really reflect on my grades ultimately....
but anywayz....
i sit where i want to or where there's space available, but most of the time, where i want to. no particular area is on my mind the first time i enter a classroom or anything :roll:lol...just sit where i want to sit..it all depends when i see the set up of the seats and the classroom etc.
I tend to sit in the back of the class......and when I used to ride buses, yeah, I would try to get in the back then too.
I think I sit in the back so I can feel more relaxed, cause if you in the front, your the first thing that a teacher sees, so you almost always have to be on guard. Being in the back allows you to slip away from it all for a minute without the fear of everyone lookin at you.
Plus I like to have my back against the wall.....gives me something to rest my head on
I am so damn nosy i HAVE to sit in the back, or ele imma have my back turned trying to see what's going on behind me.....................
also i did find out that when i sit in the back in all my classes, i tend to do better and learn more becuase i see things from a broader perspective...............
sitting in the back isn't bad...................
why they gotta equate rosa parks and the damn bus to me wanting to get the big picture....................
i don't wanna sit in the front of the classroom or bus..........
I JUST WANT THE RIGHT TO.....................
(just like being rescued; u wanna be on the lifeboat but u want the RIGHT to drown if u wanna! ****)
On the bus... I sit wherever the least number of shady looking people are.
In class... always up front, because the professor gets to know you well. This comes in handy sometimes.
Holla!
In da classroom I seem to sit in the front cuz I have trouble seeing As soon as I get my new glasses, it's back to da middle. Then back to da front cuz I know I'm going to misplace them again!
I always sit in the front in my classes. The VERY front row actually People in the back tend to fool around and chit chat, and I dont have time nor the patience for it. Im spending too much of my money not to be getting all I can get from my courses. So sitting in the front is better. The teacher sees my face and knows Im an active participant which can lead to extra credit points u may need at the end of the semester to help better your grade. A familiar face to the professor will always get the ups over someone who sits in the back and isnt all that familiar to the professor. I have also found that people tend to know who I am in my classes. I cant recall the countelss number of times someone has walked up to me and was like " hey Im ______ for your psychology class. I always see you sitting in the front and I was wondering if you know _______ " whatever their question may be. People will recognize my face from classes before they recognize someone else's.
As for the bus, I tend to sit in the first available seat I see, which is typically the front. I will choose to sit in the front before the back. But I have sat in the back if no front seats are available. Im just someone who minds their business when it comes to that. Thats why I think me sitting in the front all the time is important. I dont care what is going on behind me cause it doesnt concern me or what I need to do. My attentiveness is always to the front, and so is my body.
In class, I sit where I can find a seat, but on a bus, especially when I used to ride the bus for band, I used to sit in the middle or in the front. Sometimes I used to get on the bus and I thought I was back in the old days, because it would be so segregated.
on the bus in the back...so i can feel all the bumps
in class...in the middle....can't be in the far back because i will zone out and can't be in the very front row cuz that's just too close to the teacher....
