Oh my god. (speechless). what in the world is this new york chick doing going to the dirrty south! no offense, i respect the artist, but I CAN'T STAND SOUTHERN MUSIC! I'm nyc born and raised, Jay-z , Biggie, Fat joe, mary J, lil' kim ..... and SLIM ****? I just can't see it! I went to baltimore, maryland for spring break(that's not even that far south!) and they played this stuff they call "CLUB" music. club music in NY in general usually refers to white people , rave party stuff so i was skeptical. boy was i wrong. in b-more club music is crunk music on speed! "put em' put em' put em' put em' put em' ho put em put em ho ho ho ho ho ho ho ho put em ho!!!" what the hell is that?
Am I gonna have to hide Reasonable Doubt, Ready to Die, and My Life in a hole behind my FAMU apartment are does the south show mad love for da east coast? Just wanna kno cuz we damn sure don't be showing enough love to the dirrty south!lol!
do u have hydrolics in ya car
anyway
that music never really make it uphere (cept GAME) so i cant really hate it...but the old stuff (dre, snoop) was cool i just never really liked west coast beats
Nah no hydro, can't do that on a Corolla. But yeah...I can't get mad when people outside the west don't feel it like I do. The same way I don't like most dancehall n reggae, music is acquired taste so if you don't hear much of somethin then you usually aren't gonna like it much. As long as people respect the fact that the west has changed and still changes the face of hip hop, then I'm cool.
some of the best beats came out the West... but yeah... a lot of West coast stuff doesn't make it East and vice-versa... just like it'll take up to 4-6 months for a song from the North to come South and vice-versa...
