Wassup yall. I benn lokkin at these other topics and I juss wanted to know are there any ladies out there that are saved? I know I'm not the only one who was bought up in tha church! If you a virtuous woman let me hear what you have to say! Fellas this means yall too. The steps of a GOOD MAN are ordered bt the Lord!!! If anybody knows what I'm talkin bout let me hear yall!!!!!
Ok yall, yall are about to make me cry... I was raised in the church, so i know at somepoint i would go back.. More so now i have been calling on the Lord for differant things, but its like i dont think that i will get the answers i want if i dont have a relationship with him. I have a friend that got saved last summer, he wasnt the type to go to church and wasnt raised in the church, but when he got saved i started noticing a change in him that i recognized from being in church, his whole everything was different.. then he decided that i wasnt someone that he should be around I'm not a bad person, i do the things that i do and when he got saved i supported him 1000% but he told me that because i'm not on what he's on and i dont go to church as often as he does then we cant be cool.. Then recently my boyfriend started seriously going to church.. and i saw how when he commited his life to God how things started moving for him, Now i am saved, but i have strayed. This year i have been struggling with getting back in church. Cause when i went to Basic training i was in church every Sunday. but when i got out i stopped going. So for all of you that read this to the end.. Pray my strength in the Lord, becuase i know right now i cant do it by myself and i need as much prayer and help as i can get
I'll be lifting you up in prayer. Just know that living for God is an everyday thing. For saints, church is a form of encouragement, fellowship, and motivation among other things. Your at the right place though because no one can do it alone. John said that He must increase, and I must decrease. God said that his grace is sufficient and that his strength is perfect in my weakness. Just stay in that mindset as you go before God. He's truly the source of our strength.
The hardest part for me is overcoming my surroundings. I didnt grow up in church and I never knew much about GOD. Anyway, a lot of times I feel like I can't relate to other Christians. I feel like I could never live up to their lifestyle even though I know that they are not perfect. It's llike I read the Bible and I listen to people preach and I think, I could never be like that.
I was the same way. I didn't grow up in the church, and my family still aren't rooted. I think the mindset you have is somewhat right. Your not worthy to be called a child of God. Your not strong enough by yourself to live holy. None of us are.
God is the source of all our strength and he is what enables us to avoid sin. In Psalms 119:9 it talks about how can we stay rooted in Christ. In our minds it seems so complicated because we ourselves can only do so much, but God's presence simplifies everything. That scripture goes on to give us to give us the answer which is to hid his word in our hearts. If we read his word as we should, and pray, habitual sin can and will cease. Not by our own strength but God's. When we give him the time in our lives he will truly show himself through our actions and the changes that takes place.
Come as you are. The temple is the hospital and God is your doctor. He expects people who are misguided or in sin to come to him.
So for all of you that read this to the end.. Pray my strength in the Lord, becuase i know right now i cant do it by myself and i need as much prayer and help as i can get
I will definately be lifting u up hun. Just know that u aren't meant to do it on your own. And admitting that is the first step to getting back on the right track.
I will be praying for those of you who asked and those who didn't.
I also believe that I am chosen and God is molding me into a most virtuous woman.
For me, my verse is Proverbs 31:30.
I am trying to gain more strength, but I keep falling. Thankfully, I know that saints are sinners who get up (Proverbs 24:16).
Nobody said the walk was easy. As a Christian, you will be tempted by the enemy at all times. You grow from trials, tribulations, and mistakes; God convicts you when you do wrong when He rests in your heart.
Don't be discouraged by the thought that you will never get to the spiritual level where someone else is...you can always fool man, God is the one who counts!
I'm a witness to how hard it is to walk the straight path, but it is worth it-more than we deserve even!
You can't put off giving your life to God because even the next few minutes aren't promised. Do it now.
A great book is Matters of the Heart by Juanita Bynum.
Its not easy to just up and change your life around. But its definately worth it. Giving your life to God is the best decision you can make. And by doing that He will make things better for your life. Although that you give your life to God doesn't mean its all going to be a piece of cake because its not. Because you have given your life to God things might seem a little harder, cuz now that the Devil knows you have made a commitment to God He' only try harder to get you to turn away. But don't worry because God knows exactly how much you can take and He'll never put more on you than you can bare. He promised. I know at times it might seem like you just can't make it but the only reason the Devil starts hitting you like he's hitting you is because he has literally looked into your future and see's what great things God is going to do for you. Look at it this way: Why wouldn't you give your life to God? He has done nothing wrong to you. He sends his angels down while you sleep to watch over you until morning and He gives you another day. God gave His son to you so that you may live and have eternal life. Jesus died for YOUR sins. Everyone of them! He has already prepared a place for you. Who wouldn't want eternal life in a mansion? Just think about it. If you have any questions juss ask.
Wonderful and inspirational post.
I hadn't been feeling like myself lately, and this made me feel a lil' bit better. Satan and his demons do try to hinder Christians from obtaining God's Will.
But I have a question, can Satan actually look into your future?
not from what i've been taught. i wouldn't call myself virtuous but i am still in church and even though i don't know where i'm at with religion right now, i do know that the pastors at my church are very clear and well spoken. my youth pastor taught us that satan is like an electric plug. the only way he can get power is if you plug him in. he's not like god, he only has limited knowledge, so i would say no.
When it comes to salvation the first thing we should understand is that God's love is so much powerful than human love.He loves you unconditionally, which means you are accepted and forgiven no matter what you’ve done. “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be like wool” Isaiah 1:18. God knows you, your past, He planned your life. He had a hand in how you came about and what you were before you came to know Him.“While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8. Jesus did not wait for us to clean up our act before he decided he would save us. Because there was nothing you could do to earn His love, there’s nothing you can do to lose it.
I'm a pastor's kid so I've been in church all my life. And growing up in church sometimes we get lost in tradition and in the ritual of going to church. We forget or lose the intimacy that we once had with the Lord, which results in the devil using this as a method to take over your mind. Remember the battle for sin is lost or Won in the MIND. The devil is good at his job. And we as people sometimes forget that he has been around for so long; and we underestimate him. We think one day of prayer is enough to destroy the devil, and we wonder why we keep ending up back in our mess. Victory requires focused training not random effort. You have to be ready for the devil and have a plan set on how you are going to defeat him when he comes up against you. The devil comes to **** steal and destroy. And the only way he can **** you is to take you out of safety, out of the will of God. And the crazy thing is sometimes we make it so easy for the devil, by just leaving God; thus making ourselves vulnerable to the tactics of the enemy.
It is not going to be easy and there will be many times you want to give up. You just have to stand strong on God's word and trust that he will do what he said.“My grace is sufficient for thee for my strength is made Perfect in Weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” 2Corinthians 12:9. Grace is the presence, favor, and power of God. God’s grace and power are most clearly revealed in the midst of our human weaknesses. The greater our weakness and trials are for Christ the more grace God will give to accomplish His will. What the Lord gives is always sufficient for us to live our daily lives, to work for Him, and to endure our sufferings and thorns in the flesh. As long as we draw near to Christ, Christ will give us His heavenly strength and comfort. You must remember Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
“The Proof Of Desire Is Found In The Pursuit.” Jesus constantly chases us, because he wants us so bad. After all the times we fall short and cause God pain He is still faithful. Yet we can’t be faithful to Him when His will is not our will. We want him to be a ginie and grant our every wish. He wants to give you the desires of your hearts but you have to first delight
in doing his work.God can’t fast forward you to your destiny until you have proven yourself to be faithful. You have to give up all. Sell out for the Lord, making yourself available for God’s use and God’s use only. You have to make the right decisions. Not the ones that you want to make; but the ones that you need to make in order to gain that intimate relationship with God. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.” Just remember this last thought. “God’s purpose is greater than our problems, our pain, and even our sin.”

CO-SIGN! It's like...I believe in God, but I never had the foundation that so many other strong believers have had. I know that I'm not in the place I want to be spiritually come judgement day, and that needs to change quick! I want to know the lord, but I don't think the christian church is the path to him, for me.
PRAISE THE LORD SAINTS!!!
I know that this is an old post, but when I seen virtuous women, it got my attention, because I believe in being that Proverbs 31 lady. I may not be married physically, but I am married spiritually. As I read through the comments there were a lot of things that stuck in my mind. First I applaud the brother that started this forum and I enjoyed reading everything that you had to say. Next let me say that I am not just saved, but I am saved, sanctified, holy ghost filled, and fire-baptised. I speak in tongues as the spirit gives me utterance. I am not "religious," nor do I look down on people who are. I just happen to be at a church that preaches and teaches the truth. My Bishop speaks the whole word of God..."He cries loud and spares none, in season and out of season," regardless of if your flesh wants to hear it or not. He was not voted in and he can't be voted out. The Lord called him to be a preacher, he got saved when he was 10 years old and he's 58 now, so can't nobody tell me that once you get saved you can't stay saved. The Lord will keep you as long as you want to be kept. There are a lot of denominations and preachers teaching people that it's alright to fall down. They make you believe that being saved is about a lot of falling down and getting up. Someone even made a silly song about it. These people are stuck in the 7th chapter of Romans. They need to keep on reading until the get to the end of the 8th chapter. See, my bible says, "now, unto him that can KEEP you from falling." That's what I believe that you don't have to fall. Plus there are always going to be people that think that they're not ready to be saved, but one day I woke up and I was tired of living a life of sin. I was tired of the life I was living. The Lord will break you into pieces, just so that he can put you back together again. If you take the first step and come to God, he will take the next step. For every step you take towards him, he will take 2 steps to help you. Plus don't under estimate the power of the Holy Ghost, that is your keeping power. People always say that their not ready, well how do you know that the Lord will give you a chance to be ready. Just come to him how you are and he will fix you.
I'm not done, but I'm going to stop right here. When I start talking about God and the goodness of him, and how you can live right, I lose track of everything else.
