I have enough brain-rot in my life already. If I need a fix that bad, I can go on-campus or to my parents' house. And there's always reruns. S**t, I've survived 20 years without a TV in my room, I'll make it a few more. smh...
Yeah, it really is that crucial. I haven't watched any TV since September except for a little of Carrie before Halloween. I've known all along that I had to be on-campus for the premiere. The Dark Tower Project is co-hosting a viewing party so you know I'm gonna be there (even though I have more important stuff to not be doing). I've downloaded every preview and trailer I could find, and I'll post all the links here in a minute. I was gonna take some of those cardboard ad thingies out of the MARTA trains to use as posters in my room, but they were all gone by Friday. I'd been trying to nab one since Monday and some stupid **** or top-flight security was always standing in front of them. :x

I love the boondocks, read it everyday, it somehow makes my already dull day brighter. But anyway, i read that each character is a representation of the types of black men, for example Huey is the millitant brotha, named after Huey P Newton, and Freeman from Sam Greenlee's "Spook who sat by the door" umm Riley is, the wanna be gansta hard ****, Grandpa, well i don't know who grandpa really is supposed to be, Uncle Rukus is the Uncle Tom Clarence Thomas, type dude. I liked the show, but i didn't like the voices, i mean i like Regina King and all, but i thought they should have used someone else i dunno :???: and that McGruder dude is kinda hot.

Robert "Granddad" Freeman, from the 1st episode, seems like two kind of black men to me...1) the "not so black" man, & then at times, 2) the "Uncle Tom" who just wants to suck up to the white man (while cussin him out behind his back)...correct me if i'm wrong tho..

Their roles are a little different then the comic. Huey usually is the cool collected rational, reasonable, and extremely grown for his age kid. He seemed a lil too radical than the Huey from the strip. Riley is Riley down pat lol. Uncle Ruckus is the self hating black man in the comic strip and he is in the show. I didn't know he was gonna be like that tho. I was kinda shocked. Grandaddy Freeman... he's a lil different to. I have to read some of the strips with him in it to pinpoint it but his character is a little bit more goofy to me. He's still pretty funny tho (John Witherspoon). That part about the raincoat had me dying lol... I don't know what is it exactly but something about the end of that show didn't sit right with me. Still trying to figure it out.

I liked this episode alot better than the last one. He actually defines the characters more this time and they seem more like their 3-panel strip counterparts. It was pretty funny to me too.
