im thinkin about applyin soon and i want to know, what you basically got to have to get a full scholarship. Right now im bout to take act and i got like a 4.3
so.....
Yes, alot of people get the Trustee scholarship. I believe they give it to a certain percentage in each school/college until the funds run out. It is competitive tho, so you would want to make sure you keep the grades up, becuz they start distributing it to the highest GPAs, and once the funds run out...that's that.
But I also want you guys to please please please keep in mind that HU is not the only place that you can receive a scholarship. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket. My entire freshman year was covered by nothing but outside scholarships. There are TONS of people, companies, and organizations out there that are willing to contribute to your education...ESPECIALLY if you are a minority. You just have to take the time out to do your research and look for them. I've heard stories of people that didn't pay a dime on their education, and had so much money back in refund checks that they could buy cars, get apartments, and practically MAKE money off of being a student in college.
Fastweb.com is a nice place to start. But feel free enter "scholarships" into any search engine, and you'll see tons of sites. Oh, and the library isn't a bad place to research either. They have books at most public libraries that have scholarship and fellowship listings.
i've heard about that (the wholel getting money back thing). man its so hard sometimes to get the scholarships but they are out there. I was THIS close to being a Gates Millenium Scholar. I made it to the Semi-Finals and didnt get chosen. Man i thought my world had ended cuz with that scholarship they pay for all four years AND give u refund checks. but yeah its other stuff out there too
You could work almost anywhere on campus through the work study program: the chapel, in a departmental office, any one of the campus libraries, blackburn (the student center), and the list just goes....
I believe they have a listing. But if there is a particular place that you are interested in working on campus, sometimes you can just go there and see if someone can clear it for you
Are there any medical related jobs available through the work study program?
