"Religion is the **** of the masses"--Karl Marx. My unfortunate Sociology professor mentioned it in a discussion during class. It got pretty heated. But after all the hubbub died down, it got me to thinking: does religion make us who we are, or is it the other way around? What do you think?
(Even though I'm a Socialist and people say that's a step towards Communism, I still think Marx was just an emo before his time. This little adage further proves my point.:splat

It's good that you realized that you weren't a Christian for yourself, because it never last that way. You have to come to Christ for yourself and that's the only way that you will become a true believer. When you don't want to believe things it's easy to find excuses to back up your non-belief. As far as the prayer part, there are more than one type of prayer. Some people are trying to make you feel better by telling you that they are praying for you and you don't want to accept that. That's cool. Seeing as to you were once in church and you do know the bible, if I was to pray for you it would be the prayer of the Prodigal Son. I would pray that the Lord sends you to the pig pens...Does that make you feel better??? :-)
