In case you haven't found out already, or have checked your Howard email recently.....HU has decided to stop using validation stickers.....WHAT!!.... I feel like we are committing a grave sin. That precious colored sticker that we work soo hard for, that same sticker that I used to wait in long **** lines in the A BUILDING...is now "obsolete"...now you have to go on bison web to see if ur validated and thats it. I enjoyed my little "reward" for dealin with HU BS....and I was looking foward to having my senior validation stickers. :evil: :evil:

It could be for several reasons. Not submitting some type of medical form or financial aid requirement, missing documentation, outstanding balances, etc. More than likely, it's prolly becuz HU hasn't gotten any doe from u yet and they're holdin it against u cuz they're greedy and triflin. And if u have sent it in payment, then they still triflin cuz they take forever to clear stuff thru. No need to even check, cuz i know i'm not validated. I haven't givin HU one red cent. And they can suck a toe and keep on waitin cuz i'm not gonna break my neck tryna come up with 5 grand within a few weeks. Triflin bastids! :evil:
Whoa whoa whoa..........wait a minute.......I know I'm a freshman and all but....are you sayin we gotta come outta OUR pocket to pay money?!?!? I thought everything was covered by fin aid!!!!!!!
HAAAAA!!! R u serious homie? U can't be serious homie? Of course u have to come out the pocket. What, u thought HU was gonna pay for every single student to go their school? Hell to the naw, HU is cheap. Even if u have a full tuition scholly, u still have to pay for room & board, meal plan, and other off the wall expenses. The ones who really have it made are the National Merit Scholars, they don't pay jack....hate those lil bratties.

Sorry...just some self issuez i'm workin on. Nothin personal. The Laureates (sp?) are cool. Alot few of em from last year are homiez of mine. I just don't like to be around em during registration time, OR when they go the A building to get their refund check...it makes a sistah a lil sick :evil:

I'm kinda confused on your question. Do u mean the amount of time that is granted to u to pay your full balance??? Well...it depends. Last year, my mom & I had enuff from outside schollies to pay it all in full when we came for freshmen orientation. So i was immediately valiadated. However, i know peeps that didn't pay ALL of it...but they put sumthin down at least...so they got validated. Or sometimes u have the peeps that slip thru the cracks and don't pay a dern thing and still end up havin validation. This whole system is just random like that. Leave it to a hbcu :roll: :arrow:
And oh yeah, i was gonna ask Trav that too. U had an accum gpa of 3.0 in highschool...and u got a scholly from HU? Are u a national merit scholar are sumthin? Cuz i know alot of them just have that title becuz they did well on their PSATs. Tell a sistah sumthin...cuz i'm clueless
And oh yeah...it is easy to lose a scholly. Peeps get to college, away from parental supervision, think they grown, start wildin out, and lose they're dern minds. If u don't take ya education seriously and think u just there to have fun...then u got anotha thang comin.
Y'all freshies are kinda screwed.. I mean... you don't get to go through the hustle and bustle for them damn stickers, and you now have to rely on the internet for your validation.... I mean... HU can't get the paper stuff right, so how do you expect them to get the online stuff right... good luck.. The only people that are safe are the freshmen scholly students.. b/c the upperclassmen could've lost t heir scholly and not have known.... :roll:
