Ok I thought this would be a good idea for a sticky, because it always seems to come up.
Many people on this site have some sort of spirituality in them. We usually come on here asking for prayer when life has us down in the dumps.
So I was thinking why not have a thread/sticky in which people could post their problems, or maybe not your problems or situations but just say that you need prayer at this exact moment.
I'll start out first by saying that it's been a lot going on in my life right now in which I've been confused, hurt, and tired. I think prayer works in numbers so Im asking all of HBCU to pray for me as I continue on through my freshman year of college

Kool, Kaye, Ashley(JadeKiss), Kenya, Shoya, and the girl who said she had to go home because of family problems.
If this isnt a good idea just let me know. I just thought about how a lot of people have been going through and it would be nice if we kept them all in our prayers. Just like at my church we have a prayer list. I guess this could be the HBCU prayer list...
i feel good that the first thing i read after being gone for awhile is a prayer post. i think it's a beautiful thing and while i'm praying for y'all i would pray that y'all would pray for me. (that's a lot of praying ) i'm realizing that it is no longer enough to just realize that i'm black but to celebrate it with everything that i do in life. but of course, with that comes opposition and there are people not feeling what i'm going through. so please just pray that i have the strength to stay true to myself. thanks.
Just thought I'd give a lil testimony about prayer.....
Before making any long road trips, I always pray for a safe passage and that angels may guard me as well as the other drivers on the road.......Now, I went back to Alabama to go vote yesterday. On the way back last night, I ran into some rain. To make a long story short, I was in an accident that basically totalled my car. My car started hydro-planin, and when I tried to get control of it, it went into the median wall divider. Next thing I knew my car was flippin down I-85.
Now, I honestly thought I was gonna die.....maybe by another car running into mine while it tumbled down the street, or something else. But my car was placed....and I mean PLACED.....out of danger on the shoulder of the road.....and it landed on all 4 wheels. Even better, the only thing I suffered was a bruise on my leg the size of a nickel.....and no other drivers were hurt.
I honestly don't know why I wasn't injured more.....but I didn't even hit my head on the ceiling or anything. After my mom saw the car this morning at the wreck yard, she called to make sure that I was ok.....cause it was hard to believe that I was fine while the car was all broken up.
My point is this. I prayed for safety......and now I'm safe. Even when Death had me in his grasp, God told Death that it wasn't my time. Yes I do believe in prayer......and with this being my VERY FIRST ACCIDENT EVER IN MY LIFE, I realize what extent the Devil will go to just to take one of God's children. But he didn't, and I am truly, truly blessed.
So please pray for me and my family as we get through this. I'm not sure what is goin on with the situation, but by what my family has told me, God is making a way.
And thank the Lord that you are here, and able, and living....because it all could go away in a flash..........

...i went to Bible study last night and heard the best message on prayer...i really needed to hear it...so for anyone going through...just remeber it is God's will to hear and answer your prayers!
MY DREAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN TO GO TO A BLACK COLLEGE AND THAT IS WHAT I PLAN TO DO, BUT I NEED YOU ALL TO PRAY FOR ME BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE I WILL ANYTIME SOON. I THINK I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND EVERY RESOURCE. MY PARENTS MAKE GOOD MONEY BUT THEY JUST DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO SEND ME TO ANY COLLEGE. I HAVE BEEN OUT OF SCHOOL A YEAR IN JANUARY AND I CAN FEEL MY MIND STARTING TO GET IN THE STREETS. EVERYONE PLEASE PRAY THAT THE MONEY WILL BECOME AVAILABLE TO ME AND THAT MY MIND WILL FOCUS ON COLLEGE.
