Accepted To Fisk Univ! What should I Expect? Posted on 03-02-2004
In Rod We Trust

I was accepted to my dream school, Fisk University about two weeks ago. I am very excited because I worked very hard to get my a** in this school. Now I need help from my fellow Fiskites to let me know what I should expect from Fisk my freshmen year and the years to come. 8) P.S. I need all the information that anyone can give me, so if you are a student of Fisk, don't be afraid to let me anything, because I am one of you all now. Spread Love 8)

Right now its sunny and cold, but early spring is tricky. Later in the week its supposed to be 70 degrees but now its 35. Once we get to April, there's rain but mild temperatures. From May until late October its hot. We see 100 degrees during the summer. If you're not from the south, then get ready because humidity is a mother...and FISK does have a dress code. The weather's another reason FISK students don't do a lot of hangin' out because who wants to be outside when its 98 degrees, LOL!?!?! Our winters are usually about 30-40 degrees on average but there are times when its gets colder and even snows. BUT...this is the south and to us "snow" is one inch then **** the whole city shuts down. If you're from the midwest, then winter is a heavy jacket, turtleneck, and boots kinda thing. If you're from Cali or the south, bring ya coat. About scholarships, if you come to Spring Family Weekend be sure to introduce yourself to the Office of Admission. You want to let them know who you are and that you are really interested in attending/scholarship opportunities...

Wow, did FISK give you anything? I have about five more scholarships to apply for, so my moms and I have been putting in them out there of course along with essays.
