So if go go was in your area, then you would have no choice but to like it.

^Ooooooh they do that mess at Hampton parties. They play about 50 million reggae songs. :x Now they got this reggaeton. Oooh God.
I'll agree wit u on the reggaeton BS, BUT WHAT IS WRONG WIT REGGAE?!?!?!?!?! I LUV U WIT ALL MY HEART AND SOUL AND MIND MEGAN, AND WE GONNA GET MARRIED AND HAVE KIDS SOMEDAY, BUT U JUST HURT MY HEART WIT THE REGGAE COMMENT. OH YEAH, EFF GOGO.
Lol...we gon get married but only 4, maybe 5 reggae songs at the reception. I used to like reggae and I can stand a couple of reggae tracks for one night. But they play it to many times and it's so many dances you can do to reggae. Plus, the bad experience with my roomated freshman year.
See the problem is y'all only get the mainstream bs that been out there for years. And don't hold one crazy **** Jafakin against the rest of us.(Ms. Cleo **** chick). When u come up for the game, imma put u onto some good ish, and give u a 1 on 1 patois lesson . Oh yeah EFF GOGO AGAIN

^People **** me when they say stuff like what you just said. It's not that we only hear mainstream, cause we don't, we hear a lot of underground and local & regional artists you haven't heard or seen, it's just not a Jamaican population down here. It is a reggae club down here though I used to go to all the time so I've heard of my share. But you can hip me to what you listen to. I'm open.

I'm fo real tho, if I was to play 85- 90 percent of what I have, I'm pretty sure it would be foreign to you. The stuff that makes its way up here are from artists that are signed to labels up here, or legacies of old famous Jamacian artists. I think the problem is its difficult for y'all to understand what is being said, thats all. And u know i didn't mean to **** u baby. Its all love

^Nah, I meant that yall think that we only listen to mainstream. But it's not really that I don't understand what they say, but it's just too much at one time. Like I said, I just can't hear it the whole night. I did like some of the calypso I heard. I like the smoother Jamaican sounds as well.

I love Go-Go! I don't listen to it like that, but when I do hear it @ VSU (from parties and DC/MD/NOVA people blasting it) I can't help but sing along to it (esp. the songs "**** Passion" and "Beat Your Feet") I don't know why a lot of people hate Go-Go. Does anyone know why?

Go Megan!!!! I never really realized that some people out&out dislike go-go until I got to CAU. I'm no die hard go-go fan but it's hometown music and I love it just the same. It's the vibrance of it....intensity...really can't be beat in my book. I'm tired of defending it so I just say to each their own. However I still maintain that if you like Doin' tha **** then on some small level you like go-go. I've prolly said this a rack of times but I still believe it. ;-) Oh yeaah...I heard the go-go version of Common's "Go" today...that joint was crankin'!!
