kiddies??? j/k congrats on getting accepted into howard. was it your first choice? and since you've been through the process, is there anything you would like to share with us hopefuls? (things you learned about howard while applying and after being accepted that you didn't know previously, did you apply early action or regular decision, your hs gpa, your sat/act scores, and any extracurriculars you included on your app. don't have to share the things in green if you don't want if you consisder them personal, and anything else you can think of that we might want to know) thankz ...deuces

Thanks and yes Howard was my first choice. Definitely apply early action it will be beneficial in the long run. And what I learned/learning after being accepted is having copies of all your paperwork, copies of every important office number at Hu, and to stay on their **** like white on rice. I'm sorry but the rumors are true about the A building. umm my gpa 4.2 sat scores 1720 and only 1700 just math & reading. ( That's another thing, take SAT as much as you have to. Them not counting the writing section **** majorly. Also I'm in the national honor society, Health Occupations students of America, I run track, National Technical Honor Socitey, Future Teachers of America, Camera Club, High School Senior Council, Mega Minds, National Honor Society, Who's Who among High schools students, etc I know that sounds alot but It really isn't some people just don't know how to list things they are affiliated with. If you ever get any letters for national honor organizations; join them and list them. Also half of those clubs are from career clases that I took. There also a bonus too because if you took whole clusters throughout the years or year you get to graduate with different ropes. And I graduated with gold, purple & silver, and black ropes. So just work hard and do you but remember to stay on their **** if you want to get in.

Cool thanks. Umm yeah i'm kinda slackin on extracurriculars but i'm in HOSA like you. i'm also in the french honor society. and i've gotten quite a few awards nat. honor orgs. so i'll remember to include those on my app. i ran track for like two months before i changed schools so i'm not going to include that but yeah and i'm leaning towards taking the ACT instead of the SAT because i think i'lll do better on that hmm that's all for now...thankz for the info...deuces

yeah im kinda slackin on extracurriculars too..I'm in the french honor society too. ..Not a lot of black people at my school take French..so I wanted to be different lol..But Im thinking about taking the ACT instead of the SAT too..cause I kinda waited til the last minute..and I decided that I would have a better chance of taking the ACT two times instead of only taking the SAT once before the Early Decision deadline..

Thank you and actually, i would like to know a little more about Tennessee state.how is there psychology major and their pre-med program??
Thanks for showing interest in Tennessee State University. I know the process of selecting a school is complicated. However, it is well worth the time and commitment to make the right choice. The knowledge gained will influence your life, personally and professionally. In 2007, Tennessee State University was crowned National Champion at the 18th Annual HBCU Academic Challenge. Also, Tennessee State University was ranked by US News as one of the best black universities. Personally, I recommend Tennessee State University, academically and socially. TSU is committed to educating its students as well as providing social events. As far as the psychology program, I have heard good things. Tennessee State University offers degrees at the Undergraduate (B.S. in Psychology), Graduate (M.S. In Psychology (Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology, and School Psychology), and Doctorate ( Ph.D in Psychology (Counseling Psychology and School Psychology) level. In order to view the psychology courses offered, please view the undergraduate catalog. This will give you a feel for the courses and program. For specific questions, please contact Dr. John Dossett at (615) 963 1559 or jdossett@tnstate.edu. --> can you tell me a little bit about the school's location, transportation.
Tennessee State University is located in the capital of Tennessee (Nashville), which is close to several major cities, such as Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Chicago. This is important to provide you with an idea of what Nashville is like. It’s influenced by several of its neighboring cities. For example, Memphis and St. Louis are known for Music (blues & Jazz). Nashville is called Music City due to having several recording studios and entertainment businesses. Another influence is Atlanta, which is known for a diverse economy and professional African Americans. Metropolitan Nashville is comprised of educated African Americans and several companies/headquarters (Nissan, HCA, Dell, Nortel, Caterpillar Financial, Saturn, Bellsouth, Genesco, etc...). Nashville is home to several HBCU’s (TSU, Fisk University, Meharry Medical College) and other Universities/Colleges (Vanderbilt, Belmont, Lipscomb, Trevecca, Nashville School of Law, MTSU). As far as transportation, we utilize the bus system (Welcome to the Nashville MTA!) and commuter rail system (http://www.musiccitystar.org/index.html). However, our public transportation is not as robust as D.C. Overall, Nashville is a productive city with lots of opportunity for all races.

-->any good events such as parties.lol any near by malls and stores?
There are parties for days on and off campus, especially during football season, basketball season, and greek weeks. I think our best games are against Florida A & M (Atlanta football Classic), Southern University (John Merit Classic), Jackson State (Southern Heritage Classic), Alabama A & M, and HOMECOMING. As far as malls, Green Hills and Cool Springs Galleria are very popular and upscale. Opry Mills is approximately 2 miles long and the largest mall in Nashville. Rivergate, Hickory Hillow, Prime Outlets at Lebanon, Stones River Mall are cool as well. For more event and mall information, check out the links below. --> are their dorms any good?lol
The dorms at Tennessee State University are good. All dorms have A/C, Cable, elevators, computer lab, study lounges, laundry facilities, and kitchen area (stove, oven, microwave, etc). Personally, I think the best dorm for ladies is the Wilma Rudolph Residence Center. The dorm is equipped with a keyless entry system, study lounges, beauty salon, laundry facility, computer lab, kitchen facilities on each floor, telephone services, campus cafeteria, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Starbucks. To view each dorm, please click the link below. Student Housing Honestly, I am confident you will enjoy TSU, if you decide to attend. If you have additional questions, please let me know.
