What is the best HBCU State NC, GA, VA, etc.?

Now there are a lot of HBCU's in different states. But what state has the best HBCU's overall. North Carolina has my vote: St. Aug North Carolina Central Winston Salem Fayettville Livingstone Elizabeth City A & T Bennett Shaw Johnson C Smith

Thanks, cuz believe me those students at Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, Emory, and UGA, all think our schools are inferior. . .
Half of those student in the schools you listed went to school in the AUC. And just to remind the NC Kats there are ten HBCU's in GA not including Carver College which makes eleven since we countin n all :roll:

ITC is considered to be an HBCU? Is it 4 years? And what is Shorter and Carver College, I've never heard of either of these schools? Are you sure these are HBCUs? If they are, are they 4 year schools? And since medical schools are professional schools, does that really count as an HBCU too? NC has 11 4-year HBCUs, plain and simple.
dont know about carver...but all the other ones i mentioned are four-year HBCUs...ITC is considered an official HBCU just not well known, and it's the only non-profit HBCU meaning tuition is FREE and it offers doctorate degrees....the medical school awards both the masters and doctorate degree in 4 years....research em or either go to this website http://www.bignet.org/partner/hbcu.htm ive never heard of most of the NC colleges but it doesnt make them any less of an HBCU

I know they don't wanna start counting professional schools. . .well let's add Hood Theological Seminary, and technically Shaw Divinity school bringing the total to 13. I already stated, this isn't about numbers. I invite you to come to Raleigh in September and attend the Aggie-Eagle Classic, or February and attend the CIAA tournament. Then you compare. BTW, I've already been to an AUC homecoming. . . .there's little comparison.

Well like I said before my vote goes to GA...alot people keep giving it to NC cause they have more HBCU's...but the way I see it, its QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. 8)

if we going by numbers then Alabama got it. Come on now yall! Can yall honestly look at these schools and not be able to tell that GA is better. Barber-Scotia College Bennett College Elizabeth City State University Fayetteville State University Johnson C. Smith University Livingstone College North Carolina A&T State University North Carolina Central University Saint Augustines College Shaw University Winston-Salem State University People only really know about A&T and Johnson C Smith (only cuz of battle of bands). Some medical schools are HBCUs, Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN is probably the most well-know HBCU that is a medical school. I agree with Mila, Quality over Quantity, but there are a lot of states with good quality schools, it is just that some don't get as much publicity as others because of administrative/financial problems, declining enrollment etc. Don't forget about the CC cause there are some good quality HBCUs that are community colleges, Bishop State CC in AL is an example, pretty soon it will be 4 year.
