I think it is sad about the **** and my condolences go out to all those who are Catholic and what not. I think it's messed up how some people on this board are sitting here joking and laughing about him dying and how he should kick the dust....shoot some are even betting when he will die. I mean even though you may not be Catholic, he is a religious leader....come on ya'll.....how insensitive is that???? I guess this just goes to show how twisted we as people have become....so sad....so sad.
just because he is a religious leader doesn't mean he should be given respect by people if they don't feel he deserves it.... Catholics regard him very highly....and that is their perogative - their choice...but not everyone feels that way about him.... only respect i can give to him for his death....is that he is a human being...that is IT..... "religious" leaders do wrong all of the time....him having that title doesn't give him any special treatment....especially if there are people out there (such as myself) who already feels he has allowed himself to be idolized entirely too much as it is, for him to be a messenger of God especially....seeing as how that is something you aren't supposed to do (at least...according to my beliefs).... so...yeah....in the name of a regular person passing away....that shouldn't be disrespected.....but as for him being a religious leader and people acting like the world is about to end and the sky will fall, all at the face of his death....unh unh, sorry - ain't that serious....no offense.

when you think to the most purest person on this earth..you think of John Paul..
thats definitely a matter of opinion. :???:
AMEN, HALLELUJUAH...PRAISE THE LORRRD!!

the **** isnt right about everything.....stop comparing him to Jesus
and see, THAT IS THE THING... he SHOULDN'T be compared to Jesus...not even REMOTELY... but that is how many Catholics seem to refer to and hold him.....no disrespect to ANY Catholics on HBCU or anywhere...or anyone of ANY religion...but just from my perspective (as well as that of many others, as i have heard time and time again)....is that many Catholics idolize him....many people act as if he is God...

no Sh*t sherlock..BUT..i dont see your "Rev" going into Mosques for the first time ever and learning about other religions :-)..The **** did..I don't see your "Rev" breaking down communism in countless countries and supporting pro life...and scorning his own religion for not helping the Jews more than they did in World War 2...I didn't see Rev going to all parts of blessing the people of African race and coming to the United States countless times to speak to minorities about their issues...riding through the worse parts of LA just to see what minorities are going through..and people this isnt just for Politics and looking good like Jed and Dubya trying to help out Terri and people in hurricanes.....John Paul has been sincere since he took place his as the pontiff. >>>>>
ummmm....not to interupt.....but you can't just judge whoever his reverand is..... or, for that matter, make a generalized judgment about all Christian pastors....you don't know what they've done...or where they've been in their lifetime....their contributions to people of their religion or to other religions....or whatever the case may be.... Minister Louis Farrakhan, a Muslim, has done much of what you referred to the **** as having done....perhaps just to a different extent....but the same types of things..........he has been to the religious institutions of other faiths and educated himself about faiths other than Islam....in addition to Islam......he has tried countlessly to explain the REAL meanings and practices of the Islamic religion....and even knocked down some "so-called" Muslims, such as the older "D.C. ****" who don't really practice Islam in its truest form (as they claim), which is not a faith of harm, war, or hatred, contrary to popular belief....and has encouraged countlessly that people don't tamper and distort the Islamic name when they behave certain ways.... he has visited various countries....been across the world....shoot, the man is SEVENTY-TWO YEARS OLD...and looks like THAT.... he doesn't have any political agenda....he claims to be a messenger of God.....etc. etc. etc...u can go on for days.... nothing in your listing for what the **** has accomplished did i see "turns water into wine".....and i'm not trying to be funny or make any exxaggerations...i am being serious - that is REALLY how many Catholics act towards him....as if he just might possess that type of power.... and in addition to using Minister Farrakhan as a comparative example....shoot, even Princess DIANA would've done all that you mentioned the **** did....perhaps not exactly what he's done, but somewhere along those lines....and some of what he's done (according to what you say), she actually DID do.... so again....where exactly in his resume classifies him as the "most purest person in the world"....or as reason for him to be SOOOO much higher than the rest of us...or shoot...from the rest of the "'religious' leaders" of the world, for that matter???

9 days of mourning.. and then he will be buried beneath St. Peter's square I believe...in about 15-20 days...120 Cardinals will be locked and will choose a new Pontiff.
Damn 9 days before a burial...thats a long time....so is the new **** chosen amongst the 120 Cardinals, and what are the qualifications in choosing the new ****?
