Please do your research on your own school. HOWARD IS FUNDED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT...that is the reason for the endowment difference (thats common knowledge). ALSO, please UPDATE your facts. Our undergraduate enrollment is closer to 6,000. Another thing, always cite your sources. I have mad love for Howard University, ya'll are still the "Mecca", but um... HAMPTON UNIVERSITY- THE largest privately funded black university.

Its not that serious...the biggest thing is no hats in buildings and no do-rags on campus period. No wife beaters outside your dorm. ^^^Being from NYC, I can assure you that the dress code is not that big of a challenge. Like someone already said, we don't get up every morning worrying about complying with the dress code. it's not a uniform.....just a dress code. It's not that serious. It's not that strict. Nobody is making us put on dresses and suits and nobody is stopping us from wearing jeans and sneakers. Just don't wear the fitted inside a building and don't walk aroun in a tube top with a piece of cloth disguised as a skirt.

was curious if you can wear a white tee around campus....not a wife ****...but a long white tee.......I presently wear that to school was wondering if it was an issue at HU....don't want to start things off on the wrong foot in the fall...

^^^ yeah you'll be straight....wife beaters (esp. the real flemzy kind), do-rags, and hats are the only issues.

well about my previous comment^^^....<> iono. it aint that bad. i mean yea dress in high skoo is a little more relaxed then here it seems but i dont think its NEthin to be that concerned about NE more. it jus came as a shock at first. but actually I've started heavily considering Hampton so if its all that it seems i'll just have to get used to things. im sure it cant be that awful.
