See, this is why I love latinas. They don't like tall, buff guys. Us 5'6" 120lb guys stand a chance. Thunder
Do all of us Black women speak for each other or something?
Well, about 13 or 14 black women women replied in this thread and 1 said under 5'8" is fine. There are things called justified stereotypes, you know, something when your odds are like 14:1. Don't like my chances. I'll stick to the latinas :-) And Demmeri, there is a vast difference in our body types. If I were to completely hydrate myself I'd probably be in the upper 130's and I would look a whole lot heavier. But since I work out everyday and overtrain, eat about 1700 calories and drink about 4 glasses of water, walking around at 122 is no problem, and cutting down to 115 isn't difficult. That's why fighters like me, Shane Mosley and Bernard Hopkins are all freakishly strong for our weight. Our muscle mass is still there, but the water weight in the muscles isn't, making us look smaller than we actually are. Thunder
So, do any black women care to expand on my statement? Thunder
...I would love to respond. First you need to look up what a justified stereotype is, because when you throw around sayings you don't understand you end up embarrassing yourself. A ratio of 14:1 out of 15 women is NOT a justified stereotype. If it was a ratio of 14:1 out of say 5,000 black women, it still would not be justified....You still did not have a response from at least an equal amount of latina women.I am pretty damn sure I can get about 15 latina women up on here to say they like men 5'8" and taller, being that I grow up in a latina community. (Note: there are black latinas (just thought you should know) So for you to throw out just ANOTHER UNJUSTIFIED stereotype against black women without proof, is just proving the napoleon complex theory

^^I just let him dig himself into the hole. I guess all the Black women on HBCU connect speak for the millions of Black women. And I really don't care about your dating Latina women (I only like brothas anyway so your preference probably wouldn't really matter), I was speaking on the issue of you generalizing. It kills me cause some of the men on this post with the "woe is me; none of these women like shorter men" attitude are the same ones who express their specific preferences, they may make women feel inadequate about themselves all the time. Now you know how it feels. Just like men have your many preferences, women have the right to have preferences too.

First off I wanna say I support that statement about black women liking taller males while latina like shorter guys more. The reason why I think this is because from my preception, black males are just generally taller than hispanic males and many times (not all the time) we all date inside our own race. So if hispanic males are shorter and most hispanic women date inside their race then they most likely like shorter males more than taller males. Either that or they just like short hispanic males more than tall black males. Thats a stereotype I know. But thats my observation of this world and I think some people would agree with me. By the way I'm 5'10 so I have no napolean complex..... and height doesn't affect how attracted I am to a female.

Yea, I was gonna say that it may look like we just like taller men because our men, who we mostly tend to date, aren't majority shorter.

^Sweety, it is fact that Black women mostly date or marry(the few of us who are married) our own men. And I think I'm correct in saying that they're are more tall African-American/Black men(precentage wise cause Hispanics outnumber our ****) than tall Hispanic. Your statements were generalizing and meant to denounce Black women just because what about 10 chicks said. My last statement was to say, if it were true that all Black women just like tall men it's because we have a wider selection of taller men than Latina women. I bet Vanessa Bryant likes her tall man.
