ACADEMICALLY ELITE HBCU???

I was just wondering which HBCUs are known to have the highest academic standards and best reputation for excellence? I did a little research on it before, but the only schools I can still remember are... Howard Morehouse Clark Spelman FAMU Hampton Dillard Stillman Xavier Tuskegee I know there were at least one or two more on my original list, but can't remember what they were. Any glaring omissions? Also, what academic area are these schools best known for? For example, I know FAMU has an excellent reputation for business. Finally, what are the top 2 or 3 HBCUs to attend for an education degree? I know that's a lot of info to ask for, but I have 3 or 4 friends considering attending HBCUs that are asking me for advice, and I don't know enough to tell them. Thanks in advance for any help.

im still reveling in the fact that SOME of these hamptonians are truly adamant in giving their 20 year old university a name like "Harvard of the South" in light of the fact that there are countless other universities below Deleware of much higher prestige and have far more decorated alumni. I hope that these same Hamptonians don't believe that what they think of their school will influence the opinions of other people concerned with modern day American academia, in some half assed effort to stir up luster for the not-even-an-adult-yet-university! get the hell out of here
