I'm a junior in HS and I'm trying to pick my top 5 choice schools. So far I have Howard, Clark Atlanta,and Morgan State. I did want to go to NCAT but I've heard great things about Howard's business school. I'm taking honors classes and I have an AP us history class. I'll have to take a AP science class next year as well. Right now I'm ranked #20 in my class and my GPA is 3.67. I have yet to take the SAT. I want to know how the accounting program is. Are there really rats running around? Those damn things scare the hell out of me. How long do you have to wait before you can pledge a sorority? What's the homecoming like? Well I am a freshman accounting major at Howard and i think that it is great. The school of business does alot of stuff for the students. It has only been 3 weeks into the school year and i have already met 7 companies that are trying to recruit students for internships and job opportunities. They are recruiting from your freshman year can u believe that. Only at Howard lol. You are guranteed to get some good benefits if u go to HU. As a freshman in the school of B i was surprised to see how much stuff we get for free just for being howard students. Howard really does care about the students. And in the long run it all pays off when u think about it. The other schools u mentioned were good but I think Howard will give u the real HBCU experience. Its kinda like that show "Different World" lol. But anywayz i was just like you last year. Trying to find out information about Howard so i understand what u going through. oh and to answer your other question about the rats. yes there is rats running around here. but if ur a clean person u shouldnt have much to worry bout. I havent been to homecoming yet because im only a freshman but so they have been selling tickets for the fashion show and this **** Awareness thing. The homecoming is in October. And so far i heard that Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley is gonna be there. They havent told us about the rest of the artists yet. You have to be a sophmore with 30 hrs. completed to be in a fraternity or sorority. So freshmans cant get in until next year.
