I have a friend that is a stripper. Other than that one wrinkle in her life, she is a great woman. But so many people shun her and our friendship because she makes her living dancing. I want to know why so much disdain is put on women that choose to use their dancing talent to make a living. Especially if they work in reputable clubs.

First of all let me say that voicing an opinion is not judging, because GOD is the ultimate judge, and when judgement day comes everyone is going to have to stand before him and answer for themselves...but since the question was asked, I can't help but answer it honestly...
I don't think a woman should make a living dancing, stripping, prostituting, or anything of the sort. Anytime a female puts themselves in a position for men not to respect them I am against it. I am a female and most females think that my views are old fashion...OH WELL!!! Yes, it's your body and you can do what you want with it, but at the end of the day how do you feel about yourself. Money aint everything & money aint the answer to everything. I don't care how much money you make, for me it wouldn't be enough to sell myself. I say that because in the end that's what you are doing. You are putting a price tag on your self-worth. Without words, you are saying for the right amount of money you are willing to _______. (fill in the blank) Females are worth so much more than they give themselves credit for. Always talking about it's my life, it's my body, I can do what I want to do, I'm grown, can't nobody tell me nothing. Well, that's all fine and dandy, but then you laying on your girls shoulder crying talking about how he don't respect you. Come on now, how can he respect you when you don't even respect yourself. If you're willing to show everybody what you got and what you can do with it, than what would make him think it's special enough to invest in. Now, I wasn't always saved & I did somethings that were stupid on my part, but after the Lord healed my heart and opened my eyes...I got off being stuck on stupid!!!
Well, if a woman is converted from her past life as a stripper, she shouldn't tell her future boyfriend/husband. Some men view stripping the same way they view prostiutes. Not that it really matters what men think. LOL Anyway, people can change and no one should judge folks according to their past. If Paul, a murder of Christians before he was converted, can say that he has "wronged no man" then no one should feel condemned according to their past. Get up and press forward with your life.
