Some people are very friendly, some people will be rude. But hey, thats life.
Out of the freshmen dorms I would say the Annex is the best. It's newer and it's suite-style so you have one roomate and share a bathroom with the two girls next door. However, I know plenty of girls who stayed in the Quad and loved every single minute of it!
The Howard guys are cool--I was one! I liked being around other black college men because they were/are really some go-getters and are very intelligent. On the flip side, a few are some hoe's. But hey, thats life too lol.
The food is good at the Restaurant and the Punch Out. I dont like the Cafe (which is where most freshmen eat). The Cafe **** in my opinion. But check out Jazmines in the School of B, The A Building and the School of Medicine. There is also Starbucks, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, McDonalds, Subway and a Chinese food place on campus.
Some professors are very helpful, while others you can never seem to find. Luckily, all my professors were readily available whenever I needed them. Im not too sure about Psych professors, though.
If you like museums and monuments, you can go to the National Mall. There is a movie theatre near campus with restaurants and shopping nearby. For fun my friends and I would usually go to the mall, out to eat and maybe to a bar for some drinks. Parties are cool, but just not something we would do all the time.
Hope that helps!
