Howard wants a student who is well rounded. Not someone who is just great in academics but someone who is also as great in extracurricular activites. Community service is important but other activities are as well. It seems like it's been so long since I've been in high school(It's been 2 yrs since I've been out of hs lol), but my activities included Del-Teens(a community service group under Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.), Campus Ambassadors, French Club, Diversity Club, Oustanding Black Acheivers Club, I did community service at a hospital for two years as a candy striper, I tutored **** children in math, I volunteered at a Asthma Clinical Study to help children who had Asthma, and I lectured a class at Washington University Medical School on the seriousness of Asthma for over 2 years. Altogether I have hundreds of hours of community service. But that's all that I had when I applied. If you have any other questions let me know! =)
