Personally....
I feel as if the HBCU "experience" is a bit overrated. I love my people and all.. . at times things can get a little disheartening (ie. HBCU lacking adequate facilities, lack of dedication from students, lack of proper funding, etc).
I feel you should do what you feel comfortable doing.
I'm glad I'm at Howard now... but I'm not crazy in love or anything.
A PWI may provide better resources and facilities and offer a better name recognition, but you may get lost in the crowd or characterized as the "token black student"
