First of all...this is not by any means any type of justification for the wrongdoings across seas...or within our own borders by other countries...or by our own hands...
But I just had to take the time to really think about what I keep hearing Americans say about certain peoples overseas...calling them the overrated "terrorists" in any given opportunity...
Maybe some of us have at some point or another considered this, but I seriously feel that most have not --- what, you ask?
Imagine you're driving with your family and all of a sudden, your car is bombarded with a shower of bullets...next thing u know, u wake up in a hospital and are severely injured, wishing you wouldn't have waken up at all with all of the pain you feel. Not too soon after, you find out that everyone who was in the car with you...your mother...father...older brother...little sister just 2 weeks old....and grandmother...have all died from the ****...
Or maybe you're coming out of your house and walking across the street with your best friend who's known you practically all your life....you two are on your way to the corner store....once there, u realized you left your wallet/purse at home, so you go back in to get it real quick and half-way down the block hear a loud booming sound....u turn around towards the store and see that it is engulfed in flames and half has been blown off entirely....your friend...nowhere to be found...
your mother...father....brother....sister....favorite cousin....grandfather or grandmother....fav. aunt or uncle....son...daughter...best friend....nextdoor neighbor....imagine them all or most being **** or permenantly paralyzed all within the course of two weeks....all by the hands of a foreign force....
now if it doesn't drive you absolutely insane and into a mental institution for the rest of your life....you can't tell me....that that won't possibly turn you into a terrorist...
by America's definition of what a "terrorist" is...i know that would turn me into one....
i mean, even living in America with our own **** we gotta deal with everyday....when you find out someone has **** your friend you've only known for a year or so, you feel **** off....& find yourself having thoughts of revenge....hey, you're human....but just imagine if this was an everyday occurance and, one-by-one...your entire family and social circle....is taken out....
and on a final note....Nat Turner....and the like of that time period....you know they were considered "terrorists" of that time...right...? even Malcolm was considered a terrorist, though that exact term might not've necessarily been used...wait a minute, weren't they just desiring to take back what was theirs and find justice??
again...this is no justification for any of the killing and whatnot going on with our soldiers, with the Iraqi soldiers, or whatever....war is wrong...period...but it's just food for thought....a little insight that just as much as they are wrong....so are we (as Americans)....
That is something I have been thinking about for awhile now...
America is the land of bullsh!t to me...We are the antagonist in most situations concerning foreign affairs...I do not blame foreigners for having hatred toward our countries..My issue is their actions...I say **** Bush (not literally) but I wouldn't be sad...The US is known for using their power in an unjust manner...
Killing people is not the answer to any problem, especially if you are killing someone just because of their nationality...I say if they have a problem with the US..they better come to a point of compromise with our gov't because Bush is not hesitant to send some 200,000 + troops anywhere for a something as simple as a foreigner stepping on an American feet...
Thats really thought out. Honestly i can't say that it ever crossed my mind but now that you mention it I can def understand where you coming from. ....where anyone is coming actually.
I beg to differ on that one. If it wasn't for wars then history could have changed. Communism could have taken over the world, there could still be unjustice going on in countries if we had not went over and helped change the government, forcefully. So war can be good or bad

He makes a valid point.Though I do not agree with wars, I believe that some wars have changed the world for the better.

yeah, that is true...maybe i should clarify....the negative outcomes (millions of casualties, an inbalance of the economy, etc.) so often seem to outweigh the positive ones....& in that light, war seems to be moreso wrong than ever right....
