To Love or Be Loved Posted on 10-27-2003
HU_Koo-Laid

That is the d*mn question. Okay, I'm going to try to make this short and simple. I just want to get some other people's opinions about this. Is it better to love or be loved? Say you've been with someone for a long time and he would do anything for you. You know for a fact that he will always be around and that his love for you is eternal. He'll help you with anything even if you don't ask him. He knows you and everything about you. But your feelings aren't as strong. I mean, ya'llve (that's the Texas slang for "you all have") been together for a while and you do love him, but the relationship for you, is not as serious as you know it is for him. Then you have this other guy...that YOU would do anything for. He's super special to you and ya'll have a good relationship. He treats you good and he'll help you when you need it... but you have to ask...'cause it's not going to be volunteeringly/voluntarily (sp). Anyway, you enjoy being with him and there's definitely potential to have a good relationship. So my question is... If you had to make a final decision on who you want to spend the rest of your life with which brother would you chose? A) Chose #1 He loves you and he'll always be there for you. You'll just live the rest of your life without thrills and enjoyment, wondering if you could have made it work with #2...but at least you have someone that loves you, right?...even if you don't really really really feel so thrilled about him. B) Chose #2 You love him. Maybe he's not as affectionate and expressive about his love for you, but you know he'll do anything for you. (JUST MAKE SURE YOU ASK FIRST) Then maybe, you can work on him showing his love for you. I mean, hey...you're having fun right. You all can go out and you'll actually have a BLAST (or you can stay in and have a blast there too. yaknow?) !!! And you're HAPPY, right??? :? Ya'll get my drift. I'm sorry it took so long. I hope to get some good responses. One!!! And thanks!!!

I feel what ya sayin', girl... I've known both types a few times in my life... And personally-speaking.... I know that for every female, including myself, #1 is better and probably the healthiest choice for you.... But I'm leaning towards happiness and what works best in the long run....I'd have to go with #2..... I feel like....if he is treating me right and I am happy and in love with him....life will be good....and if something should go wrong or I find out that the "#2" aspect of himself causes him to forever be inconsiderate, insensitive, and without the mutual feelings for me that I have for him...then I might have to then reevaluate and, if necessary, move on (or at least try)..... It seems not worth it to be with someone just because they'll do anything for you and truly love you, if you don't feel the same way about them....even if they seem better for you....when you have someone else that you'll be happier with and treated right by....... Who knows...maybe once I've lived life for a few more years...or decades....I'll think differently.... but for now...I'm going to say #2

D@mn, I am in this situation. And its weird cause as I started typin this that Tyrese song came on 'I was excited cause i was fallin, fallin in love with you' and that kinda describes my situation. Well I have these two choices and its like, what do I do??? Both know about each other and it's like neither is tryin to make me choose, but it's like, I know if I don't make a choice I'm gonna mess things up with both of them. I'm not gonna say which one I'm leanin towards..but I'm definetly about in the middle right now......jeese maybe I just need a girlfriend....

Me personally, I would take number one because the more someone shows love for you, the more your love could grow for them. But, it is hard to find someone that loves you as you love them nowadays.
