I'm sure there are Howardites in the area, but for all those who arent in DC...the Carribbean Festival going on this weekend was off the chain! There was reggae music, African American literature and greek paraphenelia for sale. There were so many Black people on Howard's campus and the parade on Saturday was aiight.

I haven't seen that many people around campus since i've been here. It was 3x worse than homecoming. People were everywhere on GA ave. and in front of the towers. It was off the chain. I didn't go in because i didn't want to pay...so i just chilled outside the towers with folks...it was just as fun.
AWW I went to the Festival....Majority of the Time I was walking up and down Georiga Ave. Spending money on jewelry, and face painting....but later in the night I chilled in front of the West Towers...Then it got kinda cold so I went in...But it was fun...It definetly was WAY MORE PEOPLE than Homecoming....But All I kept saying was..........DAMN I LOVE HU!!! I LOVE MY SCHOOL!!!
^^ yeah I was visiting HU that week/wknd...it was something different esp. when my moms and I was coming down the streets later saturday night and they were still performing on the stage as they were leaving GA Ave. --lol crazy :wink: I daringly got a couple of quick pics from both Sat & Sun. show
