I'm the head drum major at my high school this year and I was wondering if I should join the marching band in college. I love band and plan to minor in music, but I hear that it is time consuming and that they really don't want freshmen anyway. If you're in band or you REALLY know what goes on in the band please holla at ya girl!
If you truly love music and marching, then yes because it is everything you love taken to the next level.
Just don't go in with an arrogant mindset, because there are people waiting to put arrogant freshmen in their place. Go with an open mind, ready to absorb what the upperclassmen have to share with you to help you be a better bandsman, and prepare to work hard.
If you do, you'll have nothing to worry about. Holla!

It's not that they don't want freshmen it's the fact that some freshmen come in with the wrong attitude...
oh...is the band ur in now corpstyle or traditional?
well the band that i was in was traditional (white) and i hated it so much that i quit. the only thing i'm worried about is how rigorous is it. is it kinda like drumline, worse, better? what really goes on how much time does it take up that kind of thing
