Well i am a transfer student at Howard and it was the best decision i ever made. You will like it here a lot, i know you are probably worrying about fitting in but that is not a problem at howard university. Majority of the people here are cool and down the earth and are willing to talk to new people, its just up to you to be sociable.Homecoming was very fun! Their is always something to do here so you will never get bored, believe me. D.C is a nice city with a lot of cultural events and different clubs so what ever you like you will find it here! The transportation is also good here so you don't need to bring a car because its reliable. The dorms are pretty nice here i guess it depends where you are staying i stay in the annex, and its nice their and also heard the towers are good too. The area is not as bad as people make it out to be its just like any other innercity but just always walk with a group of people if you are going to go off campus especially if you are a woman but you will get used to the area. Howard also has a lot of clubs, they also have a transfer club so make sure you join it because they definetely help you get adjusted here. The most important thing as transfer student trying to transfer to Howard is make sure you stay on top of your PAPER WORK! make copies of everything you send howard because they will probably lose it and also call later to make sure they get everything. As a transfer student try to have everything in before the deadline because as a transfer student you are not the top priority coming in the fall its the freshman so they will not look at your paperwork first but if you stay on top of them and they will. Housing at Howard is very limited so don't sleep on housing because they will play you and not give you housing, so definetely keep up on housing with paperwork and talking to residence life. well i hope i helped you. if you have any other questions just email me: Crayballer01@hotmail.com
