i wished i could fly
i hoped to be a mad scientist when i grew up. I used to be in my parents bathroom mixing up some stuff like i was making potion. I used to mix perfume, toilet water, lotion, mouthwash, anything liquid  . Then i'd act like i was going crazy cuz i finally got the potion right.
When i was young, naive, and ignorant I wished...
 I was skinny, lightskinned, had light eyes, and had long hair that did that cute lil spiral curl thing when u wet it.
 Usher (during the "U Make Me Wanna" dayz) would come and serenade me on my 16th birthday.
 that at least ONE freakin boy would like me
 I would grow up to be a famous movie star or singer and every person that never paid attention to me would be like "dayum! look at what i missed out on!"
 my momma would win the lottery(even tho she didn't play :? ) and get us outta this tiny lil duplex in the hood, and move into a big two story house with a big backyard that had a pool
i used to wish that...
 my ma would win the lottery
 my **** would grow
 magically a younger brother would appear
 over night i would be 19

Wow...Having light skin and light eyes is not all its cracked up to be...Trust me I know.Growing up was difficult because people assumed that one of my parents were white.I was teased and called names like "mutt" or "oreo".

I guess it was just me being wrapped up in stereotypes and the images that i saw in the media/society. Where i'm from (LA), when i was younger i just happened to see a trend when it came to lighter girls who were thin with long hair...they got attention. So i thought that was what i needed to look like to be liked. *sighs* So young...so naive.
Nowadayz, there is not a single person that can tell me black ain't beautiful. I love my golden brown skin with a passion, i've embraced every nap that grows out of my scalp, and even tho i'm still droppin pounds...i really don't even mind my size. And peeps can accept it or reject it, but at the end of the day i'm still lovin me regardless 8) .
I thank God for maturity, wisdom, growth, and clarity. Othewise i'd probably still be stuck in that poisoning mindset.
When I was young and ignorant...
 I wanted to be lighter with "mixed girl" hair. All the guys thought that was cute.
 I used to think I was the fattest thing in the world. But I love my curvation now. 8)
i'll get over you...i know i will...you put a hole in my heart!!!...(and i'll never shed a tear for you)...cause i'm the king of wishful thinking...(king of wishful thinking)...
