As much as it pains my soul to say this, I dont think McNair will be around another 5 years if the organization doesn't let him heal properly. I mean, damn man. The dudes fingers probably aren't pointing in the right directions anymore...he's got this hurt-looking walk....The last time I remember McNair being "healthy" was when the Titans were still the "Oilers" playing their home games at Vanderbilts stadium. LOS ANGELES -- Southern California coach Pete Carroll, mentioned as a possible target of the San Francisco 49ers' coaching search, said Thursday that he has no interest in the job.
"I have not been contacted, I don't expect to be contacted and I'm not interested," Carroll said.
A former 49ers assistant and later head coach of the New York Jets and New England Patriots, Carroll has guided USC to consecutive national titles.

dog, Voleks not a lost cause, he been puttin up big numbers, them titans need to do somethin on the defensive side of the ball. perhaps drafting Antrell Rolle from miami. and most people have put Bralin(sp?) Edwards ahead of mike williams in the draft. and your boy maurice clarett is gonna be a bum in the league, his body barely held up for 1 NCAA season i dont think hes gonna make it a full year in the league.
It's not the numbers you put up...its coming thru in the clutch that gets you the win. McNair could do that....Volek can't. As far as defense goes, half the D was hurt this season. Rocky Calmus on the IR. Peter Sirmon...IR. Tank Williams...IR. Even Joe Nedney was on IR since what? Week 1? 2? Injuries just gave us hell this year. You can't get to the playoffs depending on your 2nd and 3rd stringers.
As far as Clarett....give him a few good NFL combines....a good training camp, and 2 or 3 development years, and he'll be alright. He can't be any worse than some of these other stiffs running the ball in the NFL.
