Hampton, VA
Hey all I am a senior in a Hampton, Va. I have already applied and been accepted to Xavier, am waiting on FAMU's decision, and thinking about applying to Morgan State. Of these three schools does anyone know how good the program is for music education majors? Or are there any other HBCU's better for music ed majors? Also, FAMU is my first choice so can anyone tell me what to expect when I hopefully attend this coming fall. Thanks! All help is greatly appreciated.

lol...so am I...but being a music major seems like too much work for too little pay...teaching music is something you truly have to have a passion for...I wanna be a Biology/pre-med major but I'm still and will always be a music **** and a bandhead...I will either go Greek or continue marching band in college...

Howard most definently... but just a lil advice.....since imma music head at Howard if you think music education is maybe too little pay, you can also major in music therapy(aka helping individuals with certain problems through the power of music, if youre a benevolent soul and love music)....and also at Howard you can major in music/business administration...meaning youre taking music courses and business courses and after graduation youll have that distinction on your diploma, making some serious dough in the music industry on the business side, like a pdiddy if ya want patnah..... but yeah IM TAKING RADIO/AUDIO PRODUCTION CLASSES WOOHOO even though imma IS major but music is my passion, so believe me if ya love music and worried about the money after grad, there are so many alternatives dealing with music especially at my school, that will be the least of your worries, coming from a fellow music head
