I on't know to much about FAMU...but at da A & M ( AAMU) it's tight!!! I went to visit my boyfriend, and it is easily found...it's easy to drive around on campus...no traffic...the freshman male dorms suck but its on the other side of campus...the freshman female dorms are connected to tha male side by a walkway that crosses the street and it's like ONE HUGE **** BUILDIN...literally!!! It's on tha same side as the football stadium and track. It's easy as hell to sneak into tha male dorms...don't ask how I know...It's has a beautiful view of the hills behind the school from "The Hill"...when they tell you it's a hill...believe it!!! The university is actually built on a big **** hill that's hell to walk on but when you get to the bottom or the top you straight because it levels out...um...the buildings that the classes are in can be easily found...the library is in the middle of campus and that is where EREBODY kicks it at between classes...and even tho I was thurr wit my baby...the MALES ARE HELLA FYNE!!! Didn't see too many gurls! That's all I know about AAMU..oh yeah..if you are interested in engineering the are in the process of buildin a new buildin for the engineering majors!!!

Yeah, ask Kool... But if it were up to me, I'd go to FAMU...better known...I guess it kind of depends on your major. I mean, FAMU and AAMU are both well-known for their engineering departments (especially AAMU with the Huntsville NASA center and the new building), but FAMU also has a good pharmacy program and a good teacher education program. So it depends on the general area of study you want to get into.

I can't really speak on FAMU's behalf, but since I'm a graduating senior at AAMU and a student ambassador for this institution, I'll gladly say that AAMU is a good choice. The campus is about 6,500 students strong (as of Fall 2003), and it's growing. AAMU has a beautiful campus, especially if you look at it from a distance. Like MiztikalDreams said, the campus is built on "The Hill". The campus is spread out, too, so if someone doesn't have a car, then it will take some time to get used to walking on the hill. I understand that FAMU and AAMU have good engineering programs. As far as AAMU, several departments have received their ABET accreditations in the School of Engineering and Technology, and that building is one of the largest classroom buildings on campus. Also, Plant Science students are getting ready to move into their new building. Plus, there are a few renovations on the campus as well. Since my freshman year, I've enjoyed interacting with my peers and some staff and faculty members. I can truly say that I have met some of the most down-to-earth, genuine people at AAMU. There are several organizations to join, and there are also good tutoring and counseling sessions that will help students with a particular subject. I know that AAMU has received national recognition for producing so many black Ph.D. physicists. The institution also has a really talented gospel choir that's going to release its first album next month, and it's called "Transforming Music into Ministry". They're on a tour right now. AAMU has a lot to offer, and students can learn much valuable experience inside and outside classrooms. That's all I can think of right now, and I'll be back if I skipped some important information. But yeah, Kool is a good person to talk to if someone wants to know more about AAMU in general.
