It's always been about beef......so there is no way you can call it garbage

My point is.... TI and LIL FLIP are both rappers or emcees whatever you want em to be and welll EMCEES BATTLE and emcees sometimes have beef
I think this beef your referrin to is actually garbage cause rap beef and just beef in itself is two different things. If we look at cats like posterboy (freestyle friday) and just underground cats who battle underground its all about hiphop and skills. They showcase skills and use rap as their weapon in battling. Right now things are way different from the way they used to be cause back in the day people didnt get into physical altercations because of hiphop alone. It would of had to be some other aspect factored in like money or gang related type stuff. If we take a look at two cats like canibus and ll, when they were goin at it hard, they still had respect for each other to the point where they noticed that it was just rap. Thats rap battle. Now lets look at BIG and Pac. It was so many other personal things that was contributed into it. BIG barely battled tupac (he used indirect disses that most don't even recognize). Their dislike each other was based on somethin that was bigger than hiphop. They didn't go up to each other w/ a mic they crews went at each other w/ they fists and more. That just plain beef between two rappers (really way more than just mc's). Beefs like BIG and pac can't be compared to beefs like LL and koolmodee. LL crushed him on the mic so hard that he nearly retired. Pac got at BIG vice versa and that consisted of numerous physical fights between crews, personal conflicts (i.e. pac in studio w/ faith), and ended w/ two cats bein ****. The beefs goin on now is straight trast because their not pure no more. They either got some kinda gangsta or personal street stuff contributed to them which often causes cats to fight (i.e. 50-lil flip), or they just for what I think is publicity, just so somebody can make a name for themselves or make more money, which is what the game is about these days. For those who don't know 50 battlin (when underground) w/ jay-z, I believe that was 50 just tryn to get a bigger name. I personally think jayz and nas was publicity along w/ beanie and the lox, and DMX (beanie sent a diss out to DMX "tommy buns" on one song). The stuff goin on now can't be compared to the old school rap battles at all cause they conflictin (if not publicity) over stuff that got way more to do then music. If hiphop was built on dudes boxin it out and junk over music alone then it surely wouldnt be wear it is now. Just ask the father of hiphop who actually deems hiphop as a religion now: KRS ONE.

Todays rap beef is garbage because they all ways bring **** into the picture instead of how they did it in the BBoy era and use there lyrical ability to battle and beef over wax and not in the streets.If it wasnt garbage Tupac,Biggie,Big l and others would still be here today.
Jay-z and Nas's battle is the way it should be they kept it ion wax.Theres a difference between Battle raps and fightin **** on the street which is what T.i and lil flip did.

How many other people is still true to the original form of hiphop like KRS? He's certainly ain't the best but he a pioneer and knows (even tho he's extreme as he is) what hip hop is.
And I got the impression that art [somehow] isn't apart of hiphop after you dropped me the five elements. I can't comment on that tho cause I dont know much about taggers.
You made a point about dancers cause in any type of hiphop dancin in competition people get heated and I know they do get physical. So I see what your sayin on that note.
But if we limit these whole discussion to the rap aspect of hiphop then what would the conclusion be when it comes to battling alone to battling with outside contributing factors causing actual physical conflicts.

Yea on everything except for your opinion on rap. I just have never seen two dudes box it out over battle rap alone, and I know hiphop as a whole aint a negative thing cause its made it th is far.
Difference between Battles and Beef...
T.I. & Flip, 50 & Ja rule, Nas & Cormega, Biggie & Pac all have or had beef....meaning they both really didn't like each other or one of them disliked the other person for personal reasons.
Jay-z & Nas or Sigel & Jada are the closet things to a battle we'll ever see again...Because The bigger artists don't wanna go face to face anymore because it'll hurt the financial well-being of whoever loses...
9/10 of today's beefs or battles are pointless...Who honestly cares about Chingy Vs. Nelly?
