Actually I dont like her because she's singing black music. If anything that usually makes me dislike an artist. I guess I just like the songs she's putting out. There are alot of white artist that sound black, example: JoJo and Christina A. And I really cant stand them lol
Music is universal.
I like her song Spoiled.
The style comes natural to her voice. I don't think she's forcing herself to sing "black" music.
I like that song.
And I wish people wouldn't be so discriminatory when talking about something as universal as music...something that everyone should share without a racial problem.
I like her a little...I actually went and bought her first CD, b/c of one of the songs on it, but there were only like 2 good songs so it was kind of a waste of money. Maybe a new album is better.

I actually disagree with you completely. I like her music, but it aint even about that. Homegirl has some soul. Im in love with her voice. Yea theres plenty of white girls who try to sing black music and whatnot, but you can tell she doesnt try. She has a true gift which is what I like about her. We got plenty of our black female artists out right now that have beautful voices and can hit those high notes, but I would say most of them arent " soulful " except for Fantasia.Joss Stone goes into that category of having a beautiful soulful sound which is why I really enjoy her.

Couldn't have said it better myself...Joss Stone is really a hot artist, Im definitely feeling her. I actually picked up the CD, and it's definitely worth getting.
Joss Stone is hot. I've been listening to here since she first came out. She is in no way over-rated. She has a beautiful voice and a whole lot of soul. One of my favs is that song "fell in love with a boy" from her older album.
I think if Jojo sung Joss Stones songs....that would be one hell of an artist....I dont like Joss' voice ....not because she's white I just think it sounds forced. I LOVE jojo's voice though....the girl is a beast.
