What are some of yall's fondest childhood memories??
For me it was when all 11 of us(my cousins) went to my grandma's house and we'd play in her High Heels. And the 3 boys could walk in them better than us girls. Then she'd come out and say "Yall get out my dern shoes. If ya'll mess em up, Imma tear them little legs up!".
Then once again my brother, me, and two of my cousins snuck in her room and got some high heels. And we were playing in them, and she has one of those heating/AC vents. The ones with them little itty bitty squares in them. Well my brother's had got caught. So, we TOOK OFF, and left him stranded right there by her door. It was too funny. But, he managed to get them out.
i have trillions...but one i'll mention now is the 4th or 5th grade, when my cali homegirls Melanie, Promise, and I...being out in this grassy area of our apartment complex...taking different parts of the song "Understanding," by Xscape...& acting like we were a music group (coordinating the dance steps, singing our individual parts, & so forth)....
then, setting up all of our barbies, kens, & barbie & ken accessories....like one big little world, lol...& proceed 2 play wit 'em all....
**ahh...those were the daayss**...

Aww girl you took it back with the Xscape. We did that all the time Me, my sister and my cousin was Xscape, TLC, EnVogue...u name it we did it and the dance moves was point. You couldnt tell us we wasnt doing it big.
Some of my best childhood memories was moving back to the states that our family lived. We always had family gatherings, every holiday was an excuse to come together and east until aint a piece of food in the house.

hehe i feel ya...same here, gurl!
another of mine is all of the little inventions & concoctions (*sp) my brother and i tried to create, inspired from the movie "Radio Flyer" (starring Elijah Wood) lol, particularly throughout the elementary school years....
& days after school when Melanie...her two brothers and one sister....Promise...her brother & sister...my brother...and I....would be on our way home....and would stop by the palmagranite trees in our complex....to get some of those...suck the juice out, lol (which was BANGING!!!).....& try not to get any on our clothes, because it would stain of course, but also...so our parents didn't find out we were doing it (we weren't supposed to be picking fruit from random trees & eating it, lol...but oh well)....
My favorite memories are when i used to go to this neighborhood over the summer called Williamstown. My mom wasnt too thrilled about me goin over there because this was far from the suburbs...lol. But i have so many memories there-we were outside ALL day/nite playin double dutch, doin cheers, buyin candy from the "candy man"-we used to stay out till the police came by and tell us to go inside cuz it was past the neighborhood curfew...lol.
aah good times good times.
8th grade....we didn't grow up all fast like everybody else and we used to act out wrestlers, dragonballz characters, and pokemon. It was so lame when I look back but it was too fun. Pokemon and dragonballz/gt was off the chain.
