Wade will play in game 7 MIAMI (A.P.) -- Dwyane Wade should be ready to play in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals. Wade missed Saturday's sixth game of the series against the Detroit Pistons because of a strained right rib muscle but participated in Monday's walkthrough with the Miami Heat - a strong indicator that the star guard will be on the floor in the winner-take-all game for a spot in the NBA Finals. Taylor told to stay away from Redskins WASHINGTON (A.P.) -- After months of practically begging Sean Taylor to report to work, the Washington Redskins are now telling him to stay away. Taylor's latest legal trouble, a felony charge of aggravated **** with a firearm in Miami, led the Redskins on Monday to issue a statement excusing the safety from the rest of the team's offseason meetings and practices. "As an organization, the Redskins believe that it is in Sean's best interest to focus on his personal and legal issues at this time," the statement said. Taylor turned himself in to police Saturday night after a three-day search. Police said Taylor pointed a gun at an unidentified person Wednesday during a dispute over two vehicles he claimed were stolen. Taylor also punched one person, according to the police statement, leading to a second charge of simple battery. Portis Pays $18,000 to End Jersey Dispute WASHINGTON (A.P.) -- A trial between former NFL teammates over a jersey number was averted Monday when running back Clinton Portis agreed to pay $18,000 to former Washington Redskins teammate Ifeanyi Ohalete. Ohalete will receive all but $2,000 of the $20,000 he was seeking as the balance due for a $40,000 agreement that gave Portis the Redskins jersey No. 26 last year. The case appeared headed for a trial in a Maryland District Court on Tuesday. "We jostled around a little bit, and we came to that figure as a final resolution," said John Steren, Ohalete's attorney, who said one of Portis' lawyers made the offer. Washington Redskins Sign WR Kevin Dyson ASHBURN, Va. (A.P.) -- Wide receiver Kevin Dyson signed with the Washington Redskins on Monday in hopes of returning to the NFL after playing in just one regular season game since the end of the 2002 season. Dyson had 178 receptions for 2,325 yards and 18 touchdowns in parts of six seasons with the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers. The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Dyson has played in 59 games, making 54 starts. He played his first five seasons with the Titans, helping them reach the Super Bowl after the 1999 season. He scored the "Music City Miracle" touchdown in a playoff game against Buffalo, and was tackled at the 1-yard line by the Rams' Mike Jones on the last play of that Super Bowl. Dyson missed most of the next season after tearing knee ligaments during a collision in practice, then returned to action in 2001 with 54 catches and seven touchdowns.
