FAMU or Xavier Pharmacy School Posted on 06-27-2005
Finesse

I am in the process of trying to figure out which Pharmacy School I am going to attend next year. I have read much of what a lot of you have said about both of these Universities but there has been little said about the Pharmacy programs. If there is anyone out there enrolled at either school, could you give me a heads up on what an incoming freshman could expect? Any info on Hampton Universities program would also be appreciated. I live in Houston so they are a long shot but nonetheless in the running. Much Luv and Thanks 8)

XU Pharmacy school is highly respected, highly acknowledged, and so good that NON-blacks are fighting to get in there. not that that should mean something but there is a lot of attention on that school. its serious business and talk about preparation. be prepared to work. i can speak positively of xavier. i can't compare it to FAMU because i don't know anything about that school. ask someone who goes there what they think and weigh the opinions. if they compete well then hit me up at imustsayno@aol.com and i'll holla back with the utmost swift type

I know this is old, but as a FAMU student, I know that FAMU has one of the best pharmacy schools in the nation. The pharmacy students aren't just black, but many of htem are white or Indian/Arab/Asian (but of course we don't see too much of them outside class). I'm not a pharmacy student, but it is one of our marquee programs. If you don't need financial aid and all you plan on doing is studying, then holla at FAMU.
