Well it's been a hot min. since my last post, I must say that is primarily because, being a senior triple major is not easy. Well for those of you who don't know I will be a married man in March. My wife-2-be and I will be residing in a near by town. What to decide my friends................I want to go ahead and build a house, she wnts to stay in an apartment for a couple of years.........I know you are saying that's only one thing, but to me it's a huge thing.....any advice I should add to my post that upon college graduation I will get in excess of $400,000

I am engaged as well. Therefore, i know firsthand about decisions concerning living arrangements and finances. I would suggest that you two stay in an apartment for now. Besides, houses are not built over night.

Use that trust fund money to PURCHASE a house. If she feels different, just encourage and remind her that OWNING something like a home is something to be proud of these days. It's hard for some to try to buy a house these days....TRUST ME, I know.

Building a house?! HAHAHAHAHA! Bro...I have 4 years experience with the carpenter's union and I wouldn't be able to build a house, or even get all the necessary utilities and property for 400,000. Wait till you see how much wood costs independantly. Just buy one.
