I plan on moving to ATL. Which parts would be the best to rent an apartment in? Which parts have a large population of "up north" people residing?
Camp Creek Pkwy has alot of apartments up and down--its Marta accessible and its close to the Airport and the new shopping center. As far as where all the "up north" people live it really doesnt matter...after about 6 months youll be claiming ATL anyway :-D

What's up north people? There's really no set place where those folk settle. People settle where they can afford it, you know? If you're looking for a more diverse group of people, you would want to move closer to the city. If you're just looking for black college age students, move closer to the AUC and so on...
There are some nice spots out on Cascade Rd. too. You need to check them out. A couple of my homies have cribs out there. Some really nice bachelor pads out there.
I'm REALLY feeling these lofts around the MidTown area. They are called the Cottonmill Lofts (they used to be a cotton factory turned into lofts... go figure).
Its this complex of about 5 buildings. One of them straight up looks like Gotham City at night (had big ole flood light in the middle of it... its crazy yo). Really reminded me of some places back home.
When you look out the window on the 5th floor you could see the train tracks and the tightest view of the skyline anywhere (looked like the cover of a Mos Def album).
Plus its not too far away from the heart of the city. Its really geared towards different kinds of artist but anybody can live in there.
