there aren't many TSU students on here...if any at all... but I've been to the campus and it's one of the better looking HBCU campuses...alot of great modern facilities...and the student body is like %20-%30 white...but alot of them are either graduate or commuter students... but I seriously wouldn't be surprised if TSU became a PWC in about 10 years.... They have a good engineering program...that's all I know about TSU concerning academics

hey there, sorry about that, i dont usually go in this part of the forum...lol First off, the campus is beautiful, probably one of the most good looking HBCU campuses(and im not just saying that cuz i go there...lol). The campus is very diverse despite it being majority black. You're still bound to see various ethnicities such as asians, whites, and hispanics. In fact, some people call us the "white"' HBCU... . Greek Life is cool(although the Deltas and AKAs have been suspended... :-( ) Academically, TSU is a great school although depending on your major(mainly Computer Science and Engineering), you'll have to deal with foreign teachers who cannot speak English to save their lives..lol Financial Aid and Bursar's Office might give you some grief for whatever reason(they didnt give me any problems but i know other people that did). The food is....well....it depends on where you go really. We have two campuses, one on the outskirts of downtown Nashville and one thats right downtown. As far as the school made food...the cafeteria downtown is WAAAAAAAAAY better than the main campus food. The main campus food can be awful a lot of times(not all the time though). The good thing is that the main campus has many fast food restaurants. We have the "Sub" which has Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. We have a KFC, Starbucks(which also serves Chic-Fil-A sandwiches, and icecream/smoothies). We also have an on-campus Sports Bar thats near the new apartments. The dorms are alright. We have 2 male dorms, 4 female dorms(because there is a 20-1 female to male ratio, literally), and one co-ed dorm. We also have the on-campus apartments and Ford Complex which are apartments also. But you can't live there until you're at least a junior(although if u pull some strings with residence life then you COULD get in as a sophomore i think) uhh...lets see....sports, first off, the bad thing is that we're not in a black conference(SWAC, MEAC, CIAA, SIAC). We are in the Ohio Valley Conference(OVC) which is basically a whole bunch of white schools... :???: . However, we do play HBCU teams. well our football team just flat out ****(Thank God for the Aristocrat of Bands in which I am apart of... ). Our basketball team(males) are pretty good actually. They made it to the playoffs this year. Our volleyball team is hella good and they went to the OVC Championship. The other teams im not sure about. At some colleges, freshmen cannot drive cars and/or they have a curfew. At TSU, freshmen ARE allowed to have cars and you have NO curfew. To tell you truth, I love TSU and I wouldn't have it any other way. Since you live in-state, I believe you can get the Presidential Scholarship and probably other scholarships(you can look at the school's website for more info on that). You have a darn good GPA so therefore you should be able to get pretty good financial aid. I think that's pretty much it, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. Our website is www.tnstate.edu Hope that helps... :-)

i just wanted to thank you so much for all of the information. it was very helpful cuz you're right, i guess there aren't many tsu students on here. but thanks for taking time out to type all of that. quick question: ok in college, will a senior talk to a freshman? (just generally speaking) cuz basically in college, everyone is grown right? so do u think they look at it like that (being that u will be a senior next year) (checked out your facebook page :-) or do they holla at freshman just cuz they're "fresh meat" like in high school?

LOL...well i cant really speak on if guys try to holla at freshmen girls but i dont think a lot of them do just for the fact that they're around 21-22 and freshmen are 17-18 and the ones that do usually just want whats between them legs... :???: . You'd have to find out yourself. As for the choir, they're pretty good from the last time I heard them. Im not sure if they have any scholarships for it but yea...once again the financial aid office should help as far as scholarship
