Should we change our name to HBCU.COM?

Should we change our name to HBCU.COM?

HBCUConnect.com quite often gets confused with folks always calling us "HBCU.COM" do you think we should go ahead and re-name our site simply "HBCU.COM"?

This is a community driven site, so you make the call!

If it is often confused with that name, it sounds logical to change it. For me, I am used to hbcuconnect.com, but I guess having HBCU.com will bring more awareness. Good Poll idea.

I also think the it should stay hbcuconnect.com because it is unique and it lives up to its name. It's a vehicle to meet new people from HBCUs or non-HBCUs, and it helps people reconnect with old classmates they hadn't seen in years, or first loves that they'll never forget. So, if a name is serving their purpose; why change it?

I say, "ABSOLUTELY." I've been on this site for a while, and I still make the mistake of putting HBCU.com. I think its only natural to do so, since this is the main website that features everything specific to HBCUs.

I think we should because its much easier to login on the website. I love this site and it really don't don't matter, either way i'll be online.

I don't think you should change it because HBCU Connect shows that it's a place to connect and communicate with everyone.

No! the name should not be changed, because the site does not fully represent the essence of what HBCU's are all about in terms of education. This site is a place to connect, so the current name is appropriate. If you'd like to make the site better in some way, take some of these Ads out of our faces everytime we click a page and stop hijacking the thought processes of people reading our blogs with your keyword advertising links... Thanks for allowing me to share...

no, you just need to advertise more, changing the name wont change anything, The change may be more simple but doen't have to do with how many people know about the place..

No name change is necessary. Just by HBCU.com and point it to HBCUConnect.com. See, isn't life simple.
