To anyone with concerns about my appearance, I am racially mixed, but look mostly white - I am an african-american. It can be an advantage when u are surrounded by white people who have comments about african americans - u get to know who these people really are.

How is it an advantage, please explain. Because I look like an African-American woman I don't know how living in your shoes must feel. Do you respond to their comments black or white? If so what types of responses to you give them?

Thanks for the message - and let me say that I don't mean any harm by saying it's an advantage - i was just saying that with certain people who are pro-black in the crowd and then call us n's in a smaller conversation is appalling. My response at that time is that I am black too, so you are disrespecting me as well - and at that point I find out what these people are really about when they think they are safe - but in the end i end up leaving them alone because if not it will end up badly for them - and I am not a violent person. I try my best to avoid that situation if possible, but if I have to handle my business I do, no holds barred.
