Ironetta Johnson-Jenkins is a native of Columbia, Tennessee and a 2014 graduate of Tennessee State University. She pens novels under the pseudonym, Darrien Lee and resides in LaVergne, Tennessee with her husband, Wayne and daughters, Alyvia and Marisa. Alyvia is a recent graduate of the University of TN-Chattanooga and Marisa is a Junior there.
Darrien admits that she picked up her love for reading and writing while attending college at Tennessee State University in the early 1980’s. It was those experiences, which inspired her debut romance novel, “All That and a Bag of Chips” which blossomed into a successful five book series. She later returned to TSU to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Studies with a Organizational Leadership concentration and graduated in 2014.
Missy, as she’s known by close friends and family is a three- time Essence Magazine Best-selling Author, with a total of sixteen published novels on her literary resume`, which includes ten adult romance novels and a six novel teen series, titled “The Denim Diaries.” These novels covers the ups and downs of teenage life which includes teen pregnancy, gangs, the code of not snitching and other issues teens are faced with on a daily basis. Ironetta’s deepest passion is with her romance novels and readers should expect the release of new novel sometime in 2015.

Current Whereabouts:
I live in LaVergne, TN and I'm a published author under the pseudonym of "Darrien Lee." I have six novels under my belt now.
