As spring was approaching one March during the midst for the Civil Rights Era, I (Carmen Cassandra Crews) was born.
Educated in Delaware County Public Schools, I excelled in College Preparatory courses. In 1980, I attended Morgan State University and graduated in 1984 with a BA degree in Speech Communication and an M.Ed. from Cabrini College. I knew whatever career I would embarked upon, three essentials were necessary: to know how to read, write and speak.

My professional initial professional career was 20 plus years in Public Relations with a major airline. It afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively. My passion for the arts and literacy prompted me to explore the casting industry and do freelance writing resulting in several publications as well as teach in public and charter schools. It seems the longer I live, the more life teaches me. In the words of Maya Angelou: "When you get, give; and when you learn, teach"

I have a wonderful husband and a spoiled little dog.

Claim To Fame:

Most recently Carmen was asked to join the Steering Committee for the Grand Opera House. She was also cast in a principal role for an Independent Film entitled 'The Lost Generation' slated for release 2015.
