About   (request update)
As the moonlight shone from above on December 16, 1998, on the gorgeous island of St. Thomas, a beautiful angel, Takia Theresa Joseph, weighing in at 9lb, 15oz, was born to Gail Danet-Joseph and Trevor M. Joseph. Hardworking, determined and committed are just a few adjectives which describe myself. I attended Calvary Christian Academy from kindergarten through the eighth grade, where she achieved high honors each year leading me to graduate as Salutatorian of the Class of 2012. I gained great knowledge and memories as I was chosen by several teachers in 2013 to attend the National Youth Leader Conference held in Maryland and Washington where I was privileged to visit The Pentagon, The White House, The Congressional Floor, and The World Trade Center. I was again chosen in 2014 to attend a 10 day tour of Loyola University Campus in Chicago. I also received an invitation again for this summer’s conference, however, chose to remain at home to seek employment where I will gain hands on job training in her field. After losing my father to violence several years ago, life has not been easy ever since, but I have always told myself that my dad is always watching over me as this has pushed me in becoming the person I am today. Although no one can ever replace my dad, Trevor, with the support of the Lord and my mother, Gail, and giving much credit to my godfathers, Terrence Holland and Jean Greaux, Jr. for giving me that extra guidance, strength and love, I continue to get through it all and continues to become a much stronger person.
Current Whereabouts:
I enjoy giving back to the community as I am an active member of the St. Thomas/St John Junior Firefighters for the last eight years where I has shown respect, leadership, and disciple thus earning the rank of Captain. I participates in community activities to include feeding the homeless, assisting in island and beach clean-ups, as well as volunteers in providing for the needy and elderly. I am also plays a part in activities held and sponsored by the Committee for the Betterment of Carenage to include the Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas functions, just to name a few. I am a proud member of the Elrod Hendricks West Little League for which my duties include creating schedules, scoring little league games and tournaments, and updating the website with accurate baseball stats for the players. In school, I am a proud member of the National Academy of Finance. Presently a senior at Charlotte Amalie High School, as I excel always, I continue to be a member of the National Honor Society and was inducted in the National Society of High School Scholars in 2014.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I enjoy math, speech, acting and dancing and is extremely verse in computers. I have realized that nothing is impossible and I'm prepared to take on the challenge of attending a prestigious university right after graduation where I will work diligently towards a Master’s degree in Accounting, my major, and becoming a Certified Public Accountant. I also seek to advance my studies in the fields of Business Administration and Finance. I accepted the title of Miss Carenage 2015 with dignity and is committed to represent the title well through my goals, achievements, determination and commitment. I was also a participant in the 2015-2016 Miss Charlotte Amalie High School Pageant, for which I earned the title of Miss Popularity.
