Dr. Chermaine Lyde, a 2002 graduate of South Carolina State University, is part-owner of Ivy Creek Family Dentistry, a family dental practice in Columbia, SC. Ivy Creek Family Dentistry specializes in general dentistry, providing affordable, exceptional, and comprehensive dental care to patients.

Before attending South Carolina State University, Dr. Lyde, whose family is originally from Elliott, South Carolina, grew up in a military family, traveling to many different places before settling down in Lexington, South Carolina.

In 2007, she received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Palmetto Health Richland Dental Center in 2008. Dr. Lyde is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Greater Columbia Dental Association.

Dr. Lyde is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Darlington Chapter of the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association.

Dr. Lyde is married to Ramel, Sr.; they have two sons, Ramel II and Brandon. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lyde loves spending time with her family, attending football and basketball games, cooking, and traveling.
